sudden increase in dosage

Postby newbie1 » Sat Jul 29, 2017 6:39 am

I had been stable with about 45-60 min erection on 20 U of standard trimix for 4 years.
All of a sudden since the past month, this dosage only gave me about 20 min of erection and then it goes completely limp
I have to increase to 28 U to get back to 45 min of erection.
Does this sudden increase of 8 U (happen just suddenly since the past month) represent quite a big jump in dosage?
Would that suggest from now on I may have to increase large number of units frequently?
Any other ideas or suggestions?
Thanks
ED many years, failed PDE5i, on Trimix but recently needing large increasing strengths and doses

Dear Friend,
I experienced something similar. Went from 3 units to 5. There are many factors at play. Many other members here report that they have to go to more complex mixtures or gradually have to increase the dosage. That seem to be normal. Unfortunately we may get to a point when nothing works anymore.
The other factor could be that your formula is losing potency especially it is a few months old. I had that happen also. All in all it takes some experimentation and adjustment to work with any medicine.
All the best!

Three things can lead to the need for an increased dosage: the happy juice is old and losing potency; the root causes of your/our/my ED are getting worse; you had a stressful day/took some kind of medicine that affects blood flow/etc.

The need for a sudden an drastic increase as you ahve described suggests that you may need a new refill. I'd do that first. If that doesn't solve it, call the urologist.

I second Antelope. My first thought was that the mixture lost potency. I know that even in the frig, it will drop in potency after a month or two. That's why I FREEZE the vial and keep it frozen after thawing for each use. I get zero loss after as much as 9 months. If that's not the problem, then it could be the other factors that were mentioned. If a fresh vial doesn't do it, then I would get the Dr to up the potency to the next level...then try the 20 units again.
