Second injection - pain unbearable

Postby cassie8 » Sun Sep 03, 2017 3:40 pm

As mentioned in my first post on Friday I experienced pain. I penetrated the urethra and lost some of the .25ml Aprostadil I was supposed to inject. On a scale of 1 - 10, the pain level I then experienced was about 8.5
Today I again used the Autoject Ei and injected successfully this time on the left side. Got an erection within 10 minutes together with an unbearable pain, a 10+ on the above scale. It's now 3 hours later and my flaccid dick is too sensitive to touch. I can only handle the pain if I lay flat on my back. The moment I got upright its a 9+ after 3 hours - that is after I swallowed a Trameset (pain) as well as a Advill CS (Sudafet)

Please tell me that some other medication than Aprostadil wil work painlessly ? I'm a man and I know what pain is (had 4 back opps) I will accept a little bit of uncomfort/pain but not this!

Something else, the moment when I laid flat on my back I noticed the erection also started to diminish, that's only after about 15 to 20 minutes

I'm so disappointed - is it over for me? I'm cured from cancer, but is this the prize I've to pay?
Sorry I sound negative, but this depressing.
DaVinci procedure in Oct 2015, PSA is between 0.02 and 0.03 since then. Nerves couldn't be spared as the cancer invaded the nerves as well as the neck of the bladder. 100% ED, used only a pump and constrictor rings

I'm not sure, but I believe an ingredient in tri-mix or quad-mix is for mitigating pain. Maybe it's the atropine? That may only be in quad-mix? I've experienced low grade pain at times, but it was always worth it lol.

I found it painful as well. Maybe not quite as bad but enough to kill the mood.

Something is dreadfully wrong. Please see your urologist immediately. Nothing like that has EVER happened to me.

Thinking about your case, I am remembering that my first shot was in the urologist's office. I filled the script he gave me and brought the vial into the clinic. He did the injection himself, walking me thru each step, and then left me alone with my prayers for about 15 minutes to see what would happen. The rest, of course, is history.

It occurs to me that this "in-office" protocol was followed to determine (a) if the Happy Juice formulation he prescribed actually worked, and (b) if there might be any side effects such as your gut wrenching pain. If your uro didn't do that, I'd suggest you ask her why in the strongest of terms.

Good luck. Please keep us posted. As a long-term Trimix Junkie, I'm very curious as to the cause(s) of this reaction.

Hard times...

I'm going to suggest that

1) you start with a smaller dose

2) Don't start with an auto injector. Save that for after you get the injection thing down better.

3) Don't push the meds in all at once. Use multiple short plunger pushes spaced out by several seconds so the drug has a little more chance to disperse.

4) The use of a properly sized constriction ring, not overly tight, MAY allow you to achieve the desired erection using less meds thereby lessening pain.

I'm not a doctor and I'm just sharing my experience. Follow your doctors advice.

I inject successfully and never had a problem. Having said this, you don't appear to be a candidate for this procedure.
Look into getting an implant. They work very well.

Why are your injecting only Aprostadil and not a standard Trimix formula?
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

I don't know, that was what my uro started me on. Is the Trimix less "traumatic" ?
And is the effect/results better ? I only got a 30% erection from the aprostadil.
