Buying inexpensive injectable medications online

Postby ontopher469 » Tue Nov 08, 2011 4:52 pm

I am married, 67 and a diabetic. I presently use Alprostadil for injection into my penis for ED. My Rx with the VA only allows two vials/mo. I’m looking for websites where I can buy an inexpensive injectable medication online w/o a Rx. I’ve been told a similar med is something called Trimix. Can anyone provide more information about the effectiveness of Trimix compared to Alprostadil? Can you give me some website addresses for buying inexpensively this medication?

Robert, I believe alprostadil is one of the three ingredients in trimix. I have a compounding pharmacy here in VA that will make up the trimix for $85 per vial - about 30 'pricks' per vial so not bad. Haven't heard of any cheaper alternatives but 30 'woodies' for $85 ain't too bad. A lot of guys who don't do well with just alprostadil do well with bimix or trimix - talk to your uro and check it out. Good luck.

Robertj,

I doubt that you'll find any places to get PGE-1 (alprostadil) or Trimix without a prescription on-line and if you did would you really trust it for injecting? I think not.

But I did notice that the folks who make Trimix Gel (American Pharmacy - in Florida) also offer all the regular injectable Trimix formulations (and even a freeze-dried power and mix kit that needs no refigeration until mixed). The prices for a 5ml vial of Trimix was very good -- in the $40 range. I am thinking of switching over to them for mine since that would be a $40 savings for me. (Shipping with cool packs etc would be another $10-15 I would imagine).

Also there is no reason why your Uro or other doc could not fax in yet another prescription to them -- you'd just be paying it all yourself. Gotta ask tho, how many shots do you get per vial ? 2 vials (5 ml each?) seems like a lot for one month unless you need a lot per shot. If you need more than .5ml per shot maybe your doc can change to a stronger mixture?

Give us some more details please ... ( and read read read ... lots here on Trimix).

I use Wedgewood Pharmacy in NJ (800 331 8272) which charges $70 per 5 ml vial plus $10 for shipping. My insurance reimburses $70.

Thanks, D. T. This is very helpful information and sounds more reasonable than most of the compounding pharmacies that I have contacted. Most in my area charge about $95 per 5 ml vial, not including shipping.

Hello All,

I would love to say that I'm a happy shooter but that is not the case. Maybe I'm just too stupid to inject.

Get back to that later.

I use Franck's Compounding Lab, 1210 SW 33rd Ave, Ocala, Florida 800-622-4510 or 352-622-2913
#5 ML (1X5ML) Trimix 15MG /0.5MG Injectable $48.00, Shipping OVERNIGHT $24.95.

I just shot myself with Trimix. .05 on the barrell and nothing except a knot where I injected, I use the autoinject 2 and I don't think I was in the right spot, it didn't seem to go into the cavity. The same thing happened last tuesday when I injected, plunger was very hard to push so I tried the autoinject today.

I'm about ready to give up, who wants to stick a needle in their dick anyway. My wife witnessed a five hour erection when I first tried Trimix, she couldn't stand to see me in so much pain, I used Ice, I sat in a hot tub, I paced, I took Sudafed, a bunch of sudafed, I had a percoset, drank two budweisers and passed out, i don't know how long it stayed hard.

I swore that I would never do that to myself again, in a couple days, Nah, that wasn't too bad. Wrong, same result. Doc changed my prescription, he cut the papervine in half, now it works sometimes, no lately.

I'm ready to educate myself on implants.

Bill, was the five hour erection brought on by the more potent Papervine mix whereas the failed/sometimes successful injections were at the lower Papervine mix? It seems the higher P mix worked but the dose was too high. Did the doc consider reducing the amount to be injected rather than reducing the strength of the Papervine in the mixture? Seems like this would be a better way to go and easier to reach the proper dosage. The other ingredients can be adjusted to reduce the aching. To my mind, experimental injections seem less invasive than an operation.

Make sure you inject at either 10:00 or 2:00 and you push the syringe (more accurate than an auto injector in my opinion - i've been injecting insulin for 18 years) all the way in to the hilt when you push in the plunger. Remember practice makes perfect.

I've shot about 20 Trimix shots since the intro 5 to successfully determine dosage (start low and build up). I've had one false shot, a couple of superficial bruises and am gaining a lot of confidence in this approach.

My take on consistent success goes like this;

Get the dosage calibration right (see above)
Prime the injection so there's a drop of mix on end of needle (expel air)
Prime the penis a little so it's got a little "body" to it and apply a little stretch
Slowly push needle in to the hilt at 10 or 2 and slowly expel all the medication
Massage the penis for about a minute

Erotic thoughts work for me to enhance the engorgement, this may vary from person to person but it has effect for me.

I think injections are a necessary intrusion for those of us who don't get enough out of Viagra etc. The "naturalness" of erection once the needle is in the bin is excellent and Trimix doesn't seem to painful to me. I perceive the pain is more engorgement than chemical. Seems a whole lot less unnatural than an implant but we're all different. Getting the procedure ironed out and keeping prefilled syringes in the refrigerator etc make shooting less intrusive. Best of luck.

I had a miss this morning. I was injecting on the left side which is more difficult for me than the right side. When I pushed in the needle it seemed to hit more resistance than usual. I think it may have hit the smooth muscle of the tunica at a bad angle and glanced off. I had no effect after ten minutes of messaging it. Re injected on the right side and everything was good after five minutes. I need to be more careful with the angle going forward.

For some reason I'm very hesitant about giving myself a shot when I know there will be no sex afterwards. I know I should give myself erections just to try and get some nerve regeneration going on. Sometimes I feel like it is getting hard when I'm in bed but most times he's just a dead little piece of meat to hang on to when I pee.

My wife witnessed my first few injections and she said that she didn't care if we ever had sex again after seeing me in so much pain. It was pretty horrible.

I like the idea of pre-filled syringes. I'm going to try that and look for a diferrent place to shoot.

I don't want to give up but I seem to be going backwards.

Bill
