my first injection was today, not good
Hello, guys... I think some of you already know my story, I'm a very young guy struggling with ED. Tried my first injetction today, caverject, injected 8 MCG of alprostadil. I had a 70% erection 5 minutes later, but it lasted only 15 minutes. It was really a downer to my mood, I thought things would come out better, I have left a blood spot in the side of the injection. Also, I could not drawn the needle to the maximum, I went half way and it hurt a lot, so I stopped and injected. My administration of the solution was slow and calm, some blood stayed down the syringe tube. Have I done something wrong?

Sounds like a good first try to me.
I don't know about the last part of you experience though.

You probably didn't go quite deep enough. There can be a bit of sharp pain as you pierce the inner skin into the correct spot. You'll adapt.
There is a bit of a learning curve. Read up on the threads in the Injections sub-forum and try again. If the Caverject is like the Edex, and I'd imagine it is, then you won't be able to aspirate. That's OK. Just follow the other suggestions.
I'm sure you'll get it figured out and have success.

Fuck injections dude! Why aren't you pursuing an implant ASAP? If pills aren't working, a lifetime of injections will only injure your penis and develop scarring. Pursue the best surgeon available for an implant.

Peyronie's: 6 months, indents cause loss of 0.5 inches of girth, fibrosis growing, caused ED.
ED: 10mg Cialis daily, getting headaches, not interested in VED/injections.
Considering implant to avoid a lifetime of cialis and to correct deformity.

Because they have to permanently damage your penis to give you one, they don't last forever, and if medical improvements for ED are made decades from now you are still stuck with one for life. It's a very personal decision and more power to people that have one, but I just can't stomach one at this point in my life.
Mid 30's. I have had ED for years after a couple of injuries. Suspected venous leak.

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"
Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile" Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)
Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine: "AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 24, 2017... I can't wait". From Belleville, Ontario CANADA.
Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great
Dr.)
If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.

You do not have to permanently damage your penis for them to give you one. You have to have permanent ED. The treatments for that are pills and injections. Pills can be ineffective or produce unacceptable side effects and injections can be considered unacceptable, especially if you already have an injury and scarring, as the injections will make it worse. As good implant surgeon can work with you to establish medical necessity.
They don't last forever no. One's used today are projected to last 10-15 years and the risk of infection with high volume surgeons is exceedingly low. Future implants will likely last longer.
I don't need a medical improvement for ED decades from now, I need improvement today. To think that somehow I'll just suffer through 2 or more decades with ED until I'm 50 or so and then maybe something will come out that will help me doesn't seem logical to me. You won't be able to go back and use your medical improvement for the previous decades. You also might not live a few more decades....
It is a personal decision but it really comes down to living with ED or living with an implant. If you don't see the implant as an improvement of your quality of life then fine.

Re: my first injection was today, not good
The important thing to note is that there is risk with every ED treatment. Pills, injections, implants -- none are foolproof. Implants are by far the most invasive of all the treatments, and the decision to seek that solution is clearly personal. Most medical professionals would advise a patient in his 20s to regard the implant as an option of last resort.
I've tried everything -- pills, injections pumps -- and now I am at the final frontier.

I would agree, especially with such a young man however, my definition of "last resort" may differ from others. If I have tried pills with no effect and have either tried or can't bring myself to try injections, I am at my last resort.

Re: my first injection was today, not good
It's always a personal decision Larry. Of course that is true. After all, implantation is an elective surgery, just as breast implants are. The only thing a doctor can do is offer his opinion. After that, it's all up to the patient. No surprise there.
