I did the injection in the wrong place i guess

Postby andreadepian » Sun Nov 26, 2017 5:22 pm

Hi all
I am an happy alprostadil user, but the last time something went wrong, probably i was concentrated on avoiding blood vessel and my penis retracted itself so probably i did the injection in the corpora cavernous but just near the glans.
I couldnt push the syringe so i retracted the needle a bit, couldnt still inject, so i retracted a bit more and then finally i did the injection, but soon i discovered to feel unusual pain, especially pushing the glans and with no erection.
Me and my partner we did sex anyway but without penetration but it was very painfull for me and i couldnt come.
Now i am scared to make a new injection, the thing that scared me the most is not the pain but being not able to get the erection so i ask if someone has a "plan b" in case something went wrong.
I mean in case you noticed that you are going in the wrong position, will you remove from that point and go to an another one? on the other side of penis or on the same side? can you inject another dose on the other side? (I use 5mcg)
And another question is: do you insert all the needle, or do you left a bit out? i use BD microlance 3 30g 1/2"
How do you find a spot free of veins within the 2-3 or 9 -10? coz i found it very difficult, there are big veins in that positions
Any hints is apreciated
Thanks a lot

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not a doctor or medical professional of any type and nothing I post should be taken as medical advice. Always consult your doctor and follow his/her advice. I'm just sharing my personal layman experiences and non-professional speculations.

Wild guess here but I'm thinking you got the Corpus Spongiosum. I doubt you succeeded in hitting the Corpora Cavernosa. Did the Glans get engorged? Where on your shaft were you trying to inject?

I wouldn't be worried from one failure. Shit happens! You don't mention how experienced you are at this.

On the rare occasion that I have had difficulties injecting I usually readjust the depth, assuming you've confirmed the proper angle was used. I have also retracted the plunger a tiny bit and then tried depressing again if I felt confident I was in the correct spot, much like those that aspirate but I don't retract that far. Once in a while the plunger kinda gets stuck in a spot for some reason and retracting the plunger a bit can free it. I don't ever force the plunger down because you're obviously in the wrong spot if you have to do that.

Yes, I have on the rare occasion pulled the needle and tried a different spot.

I think the official and correct answer is no, you don't try a second shot if you missed with the first. You try again another day. Being fairly experienced and if I was certain I missed the correct spot I might be temped to wait a while to be sure and then try again but that not good advice. I've been known to stupid shit in the past.

As for needle depth and length I think that is a personal thing. It will depend on you dick diameter and structure. If using a 1/2" needle I don't bury the whole needle, leaving a quarter of it exposed or so. With a 5/16 needle I bury the whole thing and also have the plastic tip of the syringe depressing a good dimple in my dick. With me I find depth also varies as to where up or down the shaft I go. Very close to the base I go deeper. Near the glans I go shallower.

To avoid veins I look carefully, aim carefully and hope for the best. It will most likely happen to you at some point. Keep pressure on it for a good 5 min if it does.

Thank you so much for the quick and esaustive answer, you are famous here and i already seen your video
I didnt see where the glans was cause it was covered by the skin, that's my fault
so probably i injected somewhere very close to the glans, the glans didnt sweel, my penis seems very scary of the injection, so he is retracting a lot when i try to inject, next time i will bring the glans with 2 fingers so he cant move, probably i went somewhere, i was not in corpora (coz i didnt get erection) and i remember i seen a bump in that side, if it was in the shaft was just right in the end close to the glans.
I am not so expert i am at my 6 injection the other 5 injections went well.
my penis is similar to yours 37 mm diameter so usually i push the needle entirely or i leave just some mm out with the 1/2" needle.
But it is not easy to find free spot from veins, coz i can see also veins that are much deeper that the superficial veins so i dont want to pinch them, at the end i will have 3 differents sites on each side, i hope the next time it will go better
Thanks again

Please create a signature. It makes things much easier to answer your questions without asking a lot of questions. Here's how you do it
Click on your name in the top right corner and select "user control panel"

Then under the big letters "User Control Panel" there is a row of words... select "Profile"

Then down the left had side of the "User Control Panel" select "Edit Signature" (You might have Create Signature or something. I don't know exactly what you'll get because I already have a signature to edit)

Most guys put something like what I have, but you can put whatever you want. Here is mine -
"AMS 700 (18 + 2 rte's). Implanted March 30, 2017 by Dr. Brock of London, Ont, CANADA. Great surgeon. Went in to septic shock and had to have implant removed April 29, 2017. I'm from Belleville, Ontario, CANADA. Appt. for consult for second attempt is on November 6, 2017... I can't wait."

Don't get too carried away with the doctor like his name, address, phone number, etc (anything that looks like advertising for him).. you can certainly say Dr. Jones (great Dr.)

If you need further help, please ask, that's what I'm here for.
