Newbie -- first times

Postby old but young » Mon Jan 01, 2018 1:30 pm

First, a bunch of thanks for setting up this forum and for the many inputs and suggestions by the users. I just located the site and find the info very useful.

Next, please advise if I violate any rules/protocol of the forum.

Now an overview of my situation and experience. (I an in my 80's, have a number of ailments including diabetes (controlled w/ meds), but am in relatively good physical condition and active.)

I have had a increasing degree of ED beginning about 10-15 years ago and started with testosterone injections (currently 100 mg/wk.) This has been accompanied with Tadalafil (up to 50 mg) both of which ultimately most often failed.

Along the line, I obtained a PosTVac with its silicone constriction rings but had difficulty with the rings – getting the correct size, difficulty in installing them on the vac and their short life (some broke when installing). The ring problem was eventually resolve by making my own rings from latex glove fingers (I came up with this ring idea with no advice and it has developed into a most useful technique.) This worked with seldom a failure, but the feel was unnatural and the wife did not like it – made me unusually large for her (atrophic vaginitis) and she is submissive but not very interested or cooperative.

At most times I can use only the constriction ring inserted via a ½ inch section of PVC pipe connector and pump via massaging the urethra behind the ring and above the boys.

Recently, I had the need to visit a urologist for another problem and made it a point to select one who was experienced with the trimix injections. On one of the visits, he injected 10 units (I presume a unit is the same as “units” of insulin) and I felt nothing, but the nurse said he saw some reaction. After seeing the doctor, he demonstrated on a penile device and said I should have no problem with my experience with the T injections (I do those subc 2 - 3 times per week). He gave me a prescription for 10 ml of what he called a Level 2 Trimix solution – it is 30/1/10 mix and suggested that I increase slowly until I obtained the desired results. (The nurse remarked that “this stuff would give a dead man an erection.”) The prescription costs $136.

Our sexual encounters are on a thrice weekly basis at 8:00 AM. On the first try, late the night before, I withdrew 12.5 units of the Trimix in a 50 unit, ½" x #20 needle and held it in my bathroom until 7:15 AM, injected it and immediately felt the results, waited the 45 minutes for the scheduled event with a firm erection. (Wife and I sleep in different bedrooms because of both our snoring.) We got together after a few minutes and I, almost immediately, came, maybe because of the excitement of the first good erection in a long time. Even with the orgasm, I was able to continue until my wife kicked me off, although the firmness had diminished somewhat and she probably noticed that. The erection gradually diminished over the next 1-2 hrs. BTW, my wife said the encounter was comfortable – that was a high compliment.

I had little pain with the injection, but did get some bruising at the site, not really any more than I got occasionally with the use of the pump, but more that I hoped for. After 2 days it has diminished about 50%. I did not hold pressure on the site – just wiped away a drop of blood. Would pressure correct this?

This AM, same dosage, at 7:40, similar results (except for the PE), bruise (even with pressure) a little less, but still present.

Comments/questions appreciated:
Question: Above and does anyone use a #21 x 5/16" syringe? My limp boy is rather small.

I have used both the 1/2" and 5/16" needles with no noticeable difference between the two. However, my needles are 30 guage, so much thinner than yours, so I expect it to be less of a prick. I am not large either, only 3" at flaccid.

OMG, use a thinner needle. I use 31G. I can't imagine sticking a 20G in my dick. Ouch! Using a thinner needle might cut down on bruising by itself.

My mistake -- should have stated 30 gauge.

I use a 31 gauge 5/16" needle. Works great for me.

My doctor suggests applying pressure for 3-4 minutes after injection. I do 1 minute of pressure. That seems to be enough for me. Seldom bruises.

I've been injecting successfully for some 7 years and rarely have a bruise. Perhaps you could benefit from using a smaller gauge needle as has been suggested AND perhaps working to improve your injection technique. As I'm sure you've figured out, injecting into your penis--a specific PART of your penis--is way different from a simple subcutaneous insulin injection. I'd suggest you find and watch a video on proper injection technique.

A few tips I learned from my uro and have practiced zealously: (1) Make sure the needle and the syringe are perpendicular to your penis. (2) Insert the needle between 9:00 and 10:00 or 3:00 and 2:00, but still perpendicular at the entry point. (3). Alternate sides from one injection to the other. (4) Always massage your happy juice up and down the shaft--like you were spreading it around. (5) Aspirate the syringe (pull back on the plunger) before injecting. If you draw blood, you're in the right spot. If not, you're not. Withdraw and try again. (6) Do anything you can to generate whatever tiny bit of penile arousal you can prior to injection--massage the little man; ask your partner to do it; watch porn, whatever. Creating a larger target is good.

Good luck. Don't hesitate to PM me or any of the guys. We're happy to help. Hard times to all!

yes use 31 ga needle. I Vac first to get large then inject with silicon cushion ring still on. Makes it large and you can see blood vessels that you want to miss.

Do you leave the ring on throughout? I've gone to #31 x 5/16" and no bruise last 2 times. However, 12.5 units was initially rock solid, but today 15 units next time.

Sorry for deletion:

I remove the silicon ring after injection. Some times you just miss the right spot. I have been doing fine with my current dosage. Today exact same dose and only got 50% hard. Think I did not push through the tunica today. Dang, wife was all ready and I blew it.
