This may be a little off subject but here goes: So the average price for a 5ml bottle of trimix runs about $125. How many doses you can get out of 5ml depends on your dose amount. Guys like me that only need a low dose to get a good tree are the minority, so most guys don't get very many sessions out of 5ml. As for me, I have to buy my trimix 100% out of pocket. I do get my needles for free at my military pharmacy. I don't know if other insurances help or pay for trimix.
NOW: Medicare will completely cover penile implants and testular prosthesis. I think the cost of implants (and if I am wrong please correct) runs about $16,000 to $20,000. I can get a lot of Trimix for $20,000!
My burning question is why in hell won't medicare at least cover in part the cost of penile injections which over time would be less costly and easier on the patient, especially with the failure rates of the implants. I had asked my uro about implants and he specifically advised against it unless it was the very last option.
Also, given the fact that there are tons of guys out there that could be put back in the saddle by simply using the injections, it seems to me that medicare would be ahead to help out here. Just my two cents worth.

This is an addition to my previous post. After reading about the shelf life of Trimix I went and checked my bottle. If I follow all the rules of how to use it the outcome is this: 1. I paid $80 for 5ml on the 5th of August. Got my first cock shot on the 6th. 2. Rules say wait 24 hours between injections. 3. At my dose of .02cc I can get about 25 jabs out of the bottle. 4. Bottle says discard after 22 days. 5. This means, following the rules, there is no way I can use the entire contents of the bottle before I have to throw it away! This has to be a ploy by the pharmacies to rip us off for millions of dollars. AND my uro yesterday wanted to give me a RX for a 10ml bottle at a cost of $160 and I would have to throw 3/4 of it in the trash.
I think it is time to start writing letters to our elected representatives and explain not only should we get help from Medicare with the costs of the medication but have the pharmacies looked at for making false statements and ripping us off. We know, from statements on this forum, that Trimix can last for several months when stored in the fridge. Some days you just want to bend over, spread your cheeks and wait for it to arrive, because sooner or later it will arrive!

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is based on my own experiences at best and hallucinations or delusions at worst. Any advice found on an internet forum is likely worth what you paid for it, or worse. Always ask your doctor and pharmacist and follow his/her advice.
If you've kept it stored properly (I freeze mine) and you choose to trash it after 22 days, well that's your decision.

I'm not telling anyone to trash anything. What I'm tell is what the pharmacy says, which is a way for them to make more money. If anyone who reads my two previous posts are in the United States they should write to their elected officials and complain about Medicare not helping with our injection medications as well as the fact that the pharmacies are also ripping us off. When you are on a fixed income every dollar counts and should not be wasted by throwing away a perfectly good medication just because the pharmacy says so. I just finished writing 4 letters, one to President Trump, two to my senator and congressman and one to veteran's services expounding about all the above. Might be told to go pound sand but if I don't do anything nothing will be done.
