I want to get used to the process and know what to expect before I try it with a partner. So here's the update from my first real injection by myself:
I injected just 5 units of 20/1/30 trimix and it gave me an 80% erection within minutes without any stimulation aside from massaging the medication through my penis as instructed. It got a little achey, I'd say a 3/10 on the pain scale.
I played with it for a few hours and it was totally hard and showed no signs of giving up after even 3 hours, but the harder it got, the stronger the ache. The only thing that felt right was to be totally naked. Even the pressure of restraining the raging boner underneath boxer briefs was uncomfortable. It reminds me of the dick ache I would get as a teenager after having sex multiple times in a day. Still hoping the ache goes away over time, as I've heard other say that it might. This was only my 3rd injection, the other two were at the doc. Definitely glad I didn't start off with a stronger dose like my doc suggested. That would have maybe ended up with me in the ER. I obviously only need a little bit.
The orgasm was strong and felt amazing, but the ache really lessened the experience, as it had increased to more like a 5/10 on the pain scale. I feel like maybe I'll try just 3 units next time and see if the ache is lessened.
I'm single and dating and I do feel like it won't be too tough to pre load a syringe and bring it on a date or inject quickly in the bathroom without her knowing. It feels good knowing that after years of stressing over possible ED on every date with a woman, I finally won't have to worry about it anymore. I'll just have to ignore the ache, but I'll take ache over ED any day. And I wont have to put up with the headache and diarrhea the pills were causing me, even as they worked less.
One curious note - I've only used trimix 3 times, but I have noticed the head of my penis often feels cold now, as if it's not getting much blood supply. Not the shaft, just the head. Anyone else noticed this?

44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

my first injection was solo at home..Doc wrote the script for 30-1-10, told me to start with 15 units..8 hours later it started to go down after being injected with epi in the ER...point is that you are right to go very low and slow...I won't inject again without phenylephrine or epi on hand..3, 30mg sudafed with an ice pac did nothing..there have been posts here where guys said that taking a Tylenol T3 before injecting prevented the pain..

Yeah my doc seems very aggressive. His initial prescription was for 40/1/30 trimix and I had to ask for 20/1/30 instead. And he said to start off with 20 units and I had to ask for just 5 instead. 5 units lasted so long and was painful enough that 20 would have been a disaster. Next time I'm going to try just 3 units and see how it goes.

I wish I could say that about my doc. I drive 20 minutes to his office and he spends less than 5 minutes in the room with me. He clearly gives me an indication that he is in a hurry - and this has happened 3 times in a row. He won't ask me if I have any concerns or questions and will be out of the room before I can ask one..... Any advice?
Then to the medication:He prescribed trimix in this proportion: PGE1-PAPA-PHENT in the ratio: 10McG-30MG-1MG/ML. Started with 20 units at his office with little or no erection. He asked me to up it by 2 units each time, I have increased my dosage by 5 units each time and even at 45 units, I do not have a hard erection. I have since written to him on their patient portal to increase the dosage or give me a different combination.
Any comments/suggestions/advise/Opinion? Thanks!

It sounds like our medical needs are very different. If you're in Los Angeles I could recommend my urologist to you.

First off, You are so Inspiring. That you haven't given up on your ED issues is great.
Quick questions....
1) Where can I get PGE 1 alone?
2) Is that something that is used only when trimix of different combinations of TRIMIX and when QUADMIX has stopped working?
3) Does having PGE 1 alone get harder and longer lasting erections?
Thanks in advance for your reply.

lipnslider... Seems like you are on the right course for your problem. I use straight PGE-1 which produces great results. Have been using it for four years . Early on I had the aches but only after 2 hours... however they gradually diminished and now almost completely gone. Trimix burned like hell.
You might consider obtaining your meds from a compound pharmacist as the cost would probably be a lot less than what you are now paying.
Wishing you good success.
Age 79 good health. Radiation prostate 28 hits 3 years ago with 6 months of horrible ADT. Good recovery and ED worse.
Can't tolerate oral drugs but 4 years of Alprostadil 40mcg/ml 18 units is a miracle for 3 hours. Young GF is happy!!

Edex and Caverject are both straight PGE-1 drugs, if you can afford them. I use straight PGE-1 that I get from a local compounding pharmacy as prescribed by my doctor. The doctor was my GP, or PCP if you prefer. I just had him copy the ingredients off of the Edex 40 package and double the strength. Works great for me. You may have to call several compounding pharmacies before you find one that will make straight PGE-1. It seems many only do standard tri-mix formulas. Straight PGE-1 in the form of Edex and Caverject predate tri-mix and are FDA approved while I don't believe tri-mix is.
Try it. It may be the ticket for you, or not. But you won't know until you try.

Re: New User - Taking the plunge with the plunger.
Ok from my experience, that being 18 months now, depending on who you obtain your compound from can make a difference. You would think it's all the same meds with the same mix but you can have different results. i had the same problem as you did but at a later age. I started on trimix at 56. I have been taking pills for ED at 45 and it just stopped working. My urologist started me on the weakest mix. You are right about why your Doc didn't do that. This stuff is potent. It works exponentially meaning that if you try a dose and it last for 30 minutes, if you double that dose it doesn't work for an hour. It will be a lot longer. Trust me I ended up in the ER on my second try. It will take you a lot of practice to inject correctly. You will have mis- injections. I now have a technique where i never miss. I did experience pain in the beginning and switched pharmacist a few months later and didn't have pain since. What part of Cali are you located? I'm in the San Diego area I can give you a recommendation. The other thing 10ml maybe too much. Check your expiration date for your compound. Most in Cali only last for 30-45 days. As a newbie I don't think you will use that much. So you could be wasting money by getting the 10ml when you can get the 5ml. Some trimix compounds they don't want you to freeze, while others you can freeze depending on who is compounding. This is what is bizarre about the trimix game. Like I said it's all the same medicine. Someone mentioned Olympia Pharmacy which is out of Florida and Hank who has the club. BTW you can get meds shipped by mail in Cali. I recently became a member of that club and I can't recommend it. I don't have a problem with Hank but it's Olympia Pharmacy. I am not satisfied with receiving trimix compound 6 months after its been compounded by mail. They claim they keep it frozen and if you keep it frozen it will last a year. Everything I researched says even when frozen trimix loses potency over time. Heat, time and light are the enemy of this compound In that order different. And when it comes by mail of course it is thawed out with one ice pack in a mini styrofoam container. They claim on their website, if it comes warm that it does not lose potency. That's BS! That's impossible that it would not lose potency. Storage is important. When you go to a local compound pharmacist, the compound will be no more than 2 weeks compounded and that's due to them testing the sterility. That is mandatory in Cali. Then you will have to see the expiration date. It will lose the the effectiveness as it gets closer to that date. If you have any questions private message me. As far as pain, try another compound pharmacist. That solved my pain problem.
