Txagq8,
That is simply amazing, what you just described
I've never strayed much from the injection forum and have come across a few of your posts previously
32 years of injection meds, that's an incredible run, I only pray that my run, will last 1/3 that time period
That's remarkable, you used 29 gauge half inch, the whole time, you literally may have done thousands of injections over those decades?
And no sign of fibrosis or scarring
Is there any other tip you could add about injection process, besides having minimal plunger resistance to be effective?
Also is there anything that you can attribute to your remarkable longevity? That's what I would really like to know
Cant get rid of this needle anxiety Please help
Re: Cant get rid of this needle anxiety Please help
Tbone: sorry the week has been hectic. I’ll answer your questions.
I started out on papaverine/phentolamine (bimix). That’s all we had in 1987. I injected slow, I inserted the needle slowly, I varied where I injected. I used a cock ring (one of the leather ones with snaps that fits around cock and balls) to contain the medication.
I’ve heard of all sorts of places you should inject or shouldn’t. Confusing as hell. I finally let common sense be my guide. I would fluff or chub up my dick as much as it would. I’d imagine the centerline as 12 o’clock. Then I would inject at 10 or 11 to the left of centerline or 1 or 2 to the right.
I made my circumcision scar as far forward as I would go and about 1/2” forward from the base my rear limit. If you shoot up 3x a week you can vary the site pretty well.
In 1994 I tried caverject and used it for maybe 5 years total. Hated it. Supposedly it minimizes scarring and fibrosis but if I wanted achy dick, I’d lay it between two cinder blocks and attempt to screw them.
Tried pills. They could get me in to penetrate. What they didn’t do is give me much more than five minutes of thrusting time before I had a long, thick, flexible softy and my wife has always been honest. She has never once criticized my size, but has admitted that hardness is important in her ability to orgasm.
On to trimix. Coupled with a pill, I got a reasonably usable erection. That lasted for 15 years or so. Again, I think using the cock ring helped keep the medication in the corporal bodies longer so that it did the most good. But time wounds all heels, and theverections started evaporating more quickly.
One long term downside to the shot is it did make me so rigid that sensitivity was diminished, and I dealt with bouts of anorgasmia. That was a bummer, since again my wife (being honest) said she really liked feeling me cum inside her. I guess she wanted to make sure I slept in the wet spot.
Inserting the needle slowly, as far as I know, is not in any list of recommendations. What it did for me was giving me a good feel for where I was. I could feel the toughness of the sheath surrounding the corpora, and when i penetrated the corpora I could feel the needle meet almost no resistance. I knew where I was, and it minimized the number of times I missed the target. I can’t think of but 2 or 3 times I missed and ended up with a great big soft flaccid instead of a hard throbbing erection.
I tried quad mix too (trimix with some atropine) but never saw any benefit.
Came close a few times to 4 hr mark but never had a priapism. Couple of times took some dudafed and put ice on my junk to ensure it didn’t happen and it never did.
The first time you inject at home its fear of the unknown. After that it becomes fear of the known. A lot like airborne school in the Army, jumping out of planes. But approaching it deliberately at first, and not putting undue pressure on yourself, will help.
I’m glad they had bimix when my ED became a REAl problem and I don’t regret using injections one bit. With the implant, I love not having to inject. But I’m not sure that even knowing what I know now, that I would change my course of treatment. I got some great sex, good sex, and mediocre sex over the years. The same thing can be said for every married man, even with no ED.

It reminds me of when I first watched my dad put in his contact lenses. I was like "How can you just stick something in your eyeball like that? Your eye is designed to keep stuff out!"
Years later I put contacts in my eyes every day with no problem.

44, ED problems began around age 28 when I was on finasteride for hair loss, and also got circumcised so I lost a lot of sensation. Pills gave me bad headaches and other side effects. Now using trimix 30/1/20. So far so good.

I very much agree. Slow and easy gives more control and you are less likely to make an error. Concentrate on what you are doing at the moment not what you are feeling.

My wife and I got our Pfizer Covid vaccine shot 3 days ago. I was surprised that it was painful in comparison with blood tests I get done from time to time. The arm was also painful for about 12 hours. In comparison to a trimix shot to penis, there is no comparison. You might think that the trimix would be more painful but it barely registers.
Age 70, post mild heart attack, used viagra from age 63.Trimix now NOT at all.

Txagq8, how frequently did you inject during those 32 years?

Don't think of it as a needle. Think of it as a magic feather. I kid. Mostly.
The needle is not like what you get for an injection in the arm, either in length or more importantly diameter. And then the shaft of the penis has so so few nerves it's also not like injecting in the arm. So you are bringing in some experience with injections elsewhere to a place in the body that makes no sense whatsoever to be injecting. What's next? The tongue? Actually, I'm pretty sure if it inflated my tongue, my girlfriend would ask me to try it.
Step back for a second. Ask yourself: just how bad can it really really be? I mean, it's not like you're taking a razor to it. Breathe, be calm. Try it. Go into the cave. Again, in your worst nightmares the pain will have a bottom and you'll be like wait I felt like nothing what the hell was I worried about? You've got the balls to give it a shot a few times before jumping to conclusions. Right now there are prisoners enduring waterboarding and whipping, and you're worried about a tiny sterile needle you're putting in yourself?
I dunno... maybe some of that helped?

ED since mid '20, with slight Peyronies. Thus begins a search for the right solution(s); 56yo a/o Sep '21. Three months into my quest (12/21), I think PT-141, Cialis/tadalafil 20mg and L-Arginine (maybe other herbs) are a winning formula. For now.

I use 30 gauge, 1/2 inch. I take the slow approach of carefully placing the needle where I want it with the correct angle. If I tried to jab quickly I'm afraid that I might move the needle off target. Once on the skin I shove it in and inject the bimix. Sometimes I miss the sweet spot...it happens to all of us.
My fear of injecting faded quickly after the Uro did the first shot then had me do one in his presence.

I was supposedly limited to three injections weekly.
When I was deployed (Army) I’d go a year without a shot.
If I was at home with wife and kids were young and kept us busy, it might be 3 or 2 or occasionally just once. Probably three on average
If I was on-vacation with wife maybe as many as 5 times in 5 days. Usually took care to maybe reduce dose a little.
I tried to follow Dr’s orders. But I’m also male. Use common sense and good judgment.

I went almost six months without sex by the time I stood at the bathroom sink with that needle in my hand. In the bedroom was my drunk, horny wife begging to be fucked. Didn't need any more incentive that that...
Fifty-one years old. ED started at age forty. I took Cialis for eight years and used Trimix for almost three. Implanted 12/6/22 by Dr. Jonathan Clavell. AMS 700CX 21cm.
