Wonderer, ask your partner what is best for them. The guys think the harder the better, but that is usually not the case, if your boner is too hard it doesn't feel natural. My wife had me back off a bit for that very reason. If you read in the Implant section this topic comes up quite often, the women don't seem to like it inflated to 100%, backing off to 80% or so feels more natural to them. Do it for them, not for you and you will have a better time.

I’m a Newer Trimix user myself, been using since early January.
Mine is a lower Dose script, First Shot Doctor gave me 49-Units.
Had a 3.5 hr Erection. I would Drop the Dosage a little each Time
Till my time 4 injecting i was at 15-units which is perfect for a Good 1-1/2 hr Erection.
I use a 1/2cc 31G 5/16 insulin Needle.
So far im 25/25 successful injections..
