Do Injections (trimix) allow you to have mostly normal sexual function?
Yes.

Old Guy wrote:Good your doc has a remedy that works. Just read that they pulled the catheter with deflating the bulb. OUCH! That could be part of the issue maybe? Such a sudden onset of ED afterwards makes me wonder.
I was mid-50's when ED started. Like you, from stud to maybe to nothing in a few months. Used Viagra and Trimix until those didn't work.
And I hated the catheter after my implant. Had to pull it out myself. That was the strangest feeling ever.

Yeah, looks like I'll stick with the Cialis and Trimix. Hoping getting my hormones in check will make things better as well.
We'll see if this is a remedy that works.
I don't want to be dependent on Trimix. While my girlfriend and I love the intense "supercharged" experience that goes on for hours, I want to be able to be more spontaneous rather than excusing myself for an injection. It only takes a couple of minutes, but not exactly spontaneous.

IMO I would think a regular erection would be needed to properly understand the flow of blood in each individual penis. Seems like common sense would say a chub or semi doesn't have all the blood in or out. So how does this all add up to accurate test measurements? It makes no sense to me. Seems real easy to call everything VL.
The penis isn't done filling with blood until it reaches maximum erect size! If they have modern medicine to cause an erection, I would think they would go all the way. Max it out. Seems like there is a bit of embarrassment or prudishness that shouldn't be. They need to get over the fact that YES there will be erect penises in the clinic. That's why the men are here to be checked! Duh right? Give guys big spacious hospital gowns or safe space to allow time for the erection to go down. Other than that give instructions to use at home.

I'm thinking the Foley Catheter incident indeed damaged my penis and contributed to my sudden ED.
Will never forget the conversation with the nurse right before she removed the catheter:
Her: OK now relax, going to remove the catheter
Me: OK, is this going to hurt?
Her: No, it won't hurt, but it's going to feel a little weird
<She rapidly pulls it out>
Me: HOLY SH*T MOTHERF*CKER ^@#$^% (at the top of my lungs which could barely be heard due to post thoracic surgery fluid in my lungs)
Her: That shouldn't have hurt
Me: Holy sh*t that hurt -- that was the most painful part of this surgery experience thus far!
