How many of you had a Piraprism episode from Trimix?.

Yes, first time I used it. The doc at the clinic said he used the "average" amount that is effective, not sure how much it was. I had to return to the clinic for not one but two injections of antidote.

I've been using Trimix now for 10 years and it's only happen to me a few times where I got concerned. after 2 hours of having an erection I would put a bag of frozen peas on my crotch, and the "swelling" would subside. When I was first placed on Trimix and my Doc gave me the initial injection in his office, ( a very low dose) I had to wait in his waiting room like a half hour or so. He then called me back in the exam room and the erection was more like a chub...I remember him saying, don't be concerned with a "chubby"..it's when you have a hard erection for 4 hours that you can run into trouble.

I've recently gotten a prescription from a urologist (different doc) and filled it but haven't used it yet.

The strength is the lowest available the doc told me, and I'm going to start with a very small amount and see how it goes. She wasn't willing to prescribe phenylephrine to take home, said I'd have to come to her office if I have a problem. Don't want a repeat of the last time so was disappointed about that.

Apparently there are a small sample of people like me who are super sensitive to it, the doc said she believes it's the phentolamine specifically causing the priapism. That's likely my last attempt with it, the doc did send me home with a script for phenylephrine this time though. May try a mixture that doesn't include that one ingredient and see how it goes.

How long did you have a 100% hard erection that caused you to go back to the doctor?

I have been using Trimix for over two years and am very happy with the results. The only issue I have is that I have erections that last several hours every time I use it. If I inject 20 units, nothing happens. If I jump it up to 25, I am in business. Here is the issue: It stays hard until I inject the "rescue" med that is prescribed to me. It is called Phenylephrine. When I refer to extended erections. I am talking about hours. I never have had any pain or discoloration (from trapped blood). One time, I went to sleep and when I woke up, it was still fully erect 9 hours after I injected. I injected the "rescue" and all was well. I have done some research and think I might have "High blood flow" piraprism. Can anyone relate to symptoms like mine?

I used trimix for 11 years and could perform like a porn star. I was like you, it either worked great or did not work. I would use between 25 to 40 units. Any less and the results were iffy. I had to use phenylephrine every time. Which sucks because its 2 injections every time I had sex and that adds up after 11 years! Injecting that phenylephrine can give you a heart attack. I used it straight from the bottle the whole time even though my doctor said I should dilute it with saline. Funny he never prescribed any sterile saline. I never had any problem with it and it worked great. I finally decided to get an implant and that's been in for 7 weeks now. The risks of injecting phenylephrine and the moderate scarring on my penis helped me make that decision. I'm 66 and I couldn't see injecting for another 10 years or however long. It seems to be working well but haven't tried it out on my GF yet. Still a little sore when I pump it up.
