Some guys just seem to be more prone to scarring than others. I used bimix, trimix, or Quadmix for roughly 32 years. 1987-2019.

When they ripped out my wiring to install my LGX I asked the surgeon if I had any scar tissue from years of injecting. He told me none, that everything was clean with no scar tissue to speak of.

For sure it is something to watch out for. But the fact is that injections can cause scarring is not the same as saying injections will cause scarring. I think that is also true that prostaglandin e1 by itself will not cause scar tissue formation, but for me it hurt so bad that celibacy would be a viable option.
Age 68. Physically fit educated red neck in Texas. Very married. 23 cm (18+5) of LGX installed by Dr. Bryan Kansas 12/31/2019. I fought the ED and my wife & I won. I’m either full of shit or sound advice. You decide which.

How often did you inject on a weekly basis?

Pumpkinman -- I think you have misdiagnosed me -- I had a perfectly normal dick until the venous leakage began after a roto router job on my prostate. Up until then I only needed pills for "insurance" on date night. After that when I reported to my doc that I was having trouble maintaining erections, he started me on the injection road leading to higher and higher strengths of Trimix. That is also when the lump developed. When I got my implant Dr Eid diagnosed my scarring being very likely attributable to the injections; that for guys who get scarring from injections, it's from the non-PGE components.

So while I agree that not all injection guys get scarring, clearly a certain percentage do.
75, used pills, injections -- all lost effectiveness. Titan implanted by Eid in Feb '22.

How exactly did it manifest itself? Did you get hard nodules or did it become deformed/narrowed/bent? More difficult to insert needle?

When I used the auto injector the needle would stab in but the fluid in the syringe wouldn’t come out. It was like hitting gristle in spots that used to always work.

Sometimes the fluid would go in VERY slowly and it may or may not work. Or work half assed. Injecting into those spots made them even worse too.

Pumpkin: you asked how often I injected weekly.

The short answer was it varied. Probably, on average, 3x per week.

I was in the Army. If I was deployed overseas, I would go 6 or 7 months with no need to inject :-(.

Then I’d come home and for a few weeks probably go 5 or 6 times a week before settling down to 3x/week.

I had 3 year-long deployments in a 23 year career. The rest of the time, average 3x. Some weeks I might do 4. If we were busy or tired or had a bunch of relatives visiting it might be less. Sometimes on vacation without kids might go 4 or 5 shots.

The secret to my success (if you can call it that) with shots was don’t get stupid. Use the shots wuu it Sekt, don’t get greedy, try to do enough but not too much.

Thanks for the reply. I think youre 100 percent correct on not getting to greedy with the shots is the key for long term injecting. I know several people that injected for 20 years plus and they tell me that they try to keep it two injections a week maybe one more every now and then...I really do feel thats the key.

Yes, Since I have learned that injections may cause scarring I have cut back to a max of 1x a week or even 1x a month if things are going well. Got a great morning wood today on cialis only so sometimes PDE5's are working for me.

Yep that sounds like the key to really long term injections is not to go over board. My brother has been injection with close to the same dosages for 20 years. I know a performer online though thats been injecting for ten years and he injects sometimes 7 times a week...so I really think it just depends on the individual. Glad to here the PDE5'S are still working for you. They do for me as well most of the time.

I read a medical study that reported approximately 10% on average have scarring as a side effect of injections.
