As Donkeykong says, I can often inject painlessly with 31g because it's thin enough to go between nerves. I start by moving around prodding and when I find a pain-free spot, I start pushing in. If I hit a lower-down nerve, I pull out and start over. But my corpora are not nice and uniform and parallel like the medical diagrams, so I need a 1/2in=13mm needle at a few locations, and the 30g inevitably hits a nerve or two.
Broadly speaking, I think thin penises can use 5/16in=8mm(31g) and thick penises need 1/2in=13mm(30g) at most locations.
Agree with cangetit's advice.
What size/gauge of needles are you having success with?

Age 79 in 2024. On testosterone replacement due to hypothalamus malfunction. (Attention depressed guys: low testosterone is a cause.) Healthy health nut but ED due to getting old. Like to keep enough cardiovascular ability to thrust for 30 min.

31 gauge 5/16 needles. Trimix came with ten needles to get started. So far they have worked well only missed once. Read something somewhere if needle is where it needs to be slightly draw plunger back if you see blood your golden. Have noticed that 5/16" needs to be firmly pressed into the flesh.

I'm using a 29g 1/2 inch and it's works perfect. Appears to inject right into the middle of my corpus. Never fails.

Re: What size/gauge of needles are you having success with?
I'm currently using 30ga, 8mm (5/16") x 30unit EZ Touch syringes.
To me having very sharp, quality needles is probably more important than +- one gauge. But yeah, 30 or 31 gauge.
I had some syringes that I ordered of Amazon from BH Supplies that were terrible. Some would not even poke through my skin (torture). I got some EZ Touch brand which seem way better (meaning most of the time I can barely feel the puncture). Look at some under good magnification and you can see the difference. I even found some of the BH needles with shrapnel attached! Very poor QC.
Good luck.

Bending trauma around age 50, resulting in mild Peyronies (VED use has helped).

I use U-30 (.3cc total capacity), 31ga 8mm (5/16). The brand, off Amazon, is "Care Touch", which I bought just based on price. Other than the above reference to BH, do FT'ers see much difference in different brand's quality?
I like the . 3cc size because I inject a small amount (.02 to .04 cc) so I appreciate the finer granularity. And I go for the smallest needle because I've never had an issue and the 31ga is relatively pain-free, so I see no need to get a bigger needle.

Born 1954. Diabetes, hypertension and atherosclerosis. Sildenafil is iffy. Tri-Mix (30/3/20 Pap/Phen/PGE1) a godsend pending long-term efficacy. Daily Cialis. Tried LiESWT, Botox, PT-141, Eroxon, QST, DUS, Vertica, cabergoline, psychotherapy+hypnotherapy.

The EasyTouch brand has considerably less stiction (starting friction) than the BD brand I was using, which makes it easier to tell when I'm in a corpus or not. Also available from Amazon.
