It is well-known that Trimix causes fibrosis and scarring over time in most guys leading to worse erections. Not my words, Dr. Eid's.

I am in very good cardiovascular health but had psychogenic ED. In 4 years went from getting 4 hour rock hard erections on 4 units of the weakest trimix - to getting maybe 20 minutes of not even being very hard on 40 units of super quadmix. I haven't had a date in several years because of this and have no option left except implant, which I am too afraid to get.

You are lucky you can still get an hour. If you can get a decent response from alprostadil only("monomix") that might be your best bet to preserve function, since it is the other ingredients in trimix that are more damaging. Papaverine has high acidity and can cause fibrosis. But apart from this, each injection destroys some of the delicate erectile tissue in the corpora and there is no way around this really.

I think the guys on here who have been using injections for many years are mostly using alprostadil alone.

Most the long term users even up to 30 years were Tri-Mix Users. My brothers been using Tri-Mix for 21 years and really hasn't amped up his dosage much at all.

Yea keep in mind Dr. Eid is a surgeon who makes a small fortune doing penile implants....just sayin'.Don't get me wrong implants are great if and when you need them, but goal is to put off that day as long as possible.

I guess I need to reset what I think about all of this. As I said, over the past few years, I have moved from 3 units to 6 to 8 to now 10+ to get the same outcome. Now, this batch I am currently using is well over 7 months old at this point ,but it's been frozen the entire time save for thawing to fill up a few syringes.

I had a bout with my wife last night after about 10 days of no sex. Injected 10 units on my "good" side (my left has always responded better than my right did). I only got about 90% hard, which lasted an hour, but it was weird to not get full wood from the 10 units.

I'm already at a confidence low, and using trimix has made sex enjoyable again, but now I'm worried I am on some giant slippery slope where trimix isn't going to work anymore. And I'm using it less than I did in 2023...2024 was a bad sex year for us and it was about half as many times we did it, so I would have thought I'd be *more* responsive to the trimix using it less than I would be if I were doing 3x a week like in 2023.

In my experience, venous leak from long time trimix scarring is not linear.

For me the erection either "locks in" for 100% hardness for a couple of hours or quickly leaks out. It's an all-or-nothing affair. One day the accumulated damage from shots suddenly crossed the barrier where it prevented lock-in and since then my erections were toast and no doses of any mixes would work.

I use 100mg sildenafil with less Trimix I would otherwise need. But if you do this you must be careful to avoid priapism by carefully doing the Trimix titrating-up procedure over again, starting with a small dose. First let an hour or more pass after taking the sildenafil, so that it's fully in your circulation. When I did this, I did a test injection only every third day, so it took me two weeks to determine my new Trimix amount, about 40 percent of what I had been using.

ONLY after you have established your new Trimix dose can you inject and take the sildenafil simultaneously.

sirgawain wrote:So those of you who I have interacted with in the past may remember I used to get 2 hours with 3-4 units of T-101. Then it migrated to 5. A year and a half ago it moved to 8. This year has been a horrible year for sex due to some issues with health that my wife has had, but we brought the trimix with us to a post-christmas trip. I was discouraged to find that now 12 units gets me maybe 1.5 hours of time and the last 30 mins is a slow deflation.

So...how does this happen when I haven't been using it that much? I can't imagine I developed a sudden tolerance? Today, I put in 13 units on my right side and I got super hard for about an hour (which lasted foreplay through a few positions of intercourse), and then when switching positions for the finale -- not hard enough.

I find this a dramatic degradation in the efficacy of the meds...not sure what to think.
