Difficult to say .... When doctor tested me, he prescribed me 30 units (in his office erection lasted about an hour). When I started with 30 units at home, I had erection during 3-4 hours. I started gradually to reduce dose, last week I injected 18 units and erection was just right , 2 hours. Yesterday I injected 19 - 20 units and erection lasted 5 hours (I didn't have it so long even with 30 units)! (I didn't feel real pain, just inconvenient...and I was afraid to fell asleep). Next time I gonna try 16 units....I'll how long it will last.

btw, does alcohol increase or decrease erection time?

Erections were fantastic, but more often than not lasted too long , like you , often 3 to 4 hours before abating.

The solution for me , my urologist advised this, was to do jumping jacks and/or run up and down the stairs a few times , to drain the blood away from the penis.

This worked for me.
3 hours plus and its a definite source of discomfort.

I worked out hard last night doing lunges, squats, and jumping jacks for half an hour straight outside in the cold until I was breathing hard and my heart was pounding. This slightly helped making me go from a full erection to a semi erection that faded over the next half an hour.

I think I cut it pretty close and was about to bite the bullet and go to the ER. It was still a little swollen but bendable after 4 hours and was back to normal flaccid state at 4.5. I hope it didn't do any damage, but even if I had gone in to the ER at 4 hours it would have been flaccid before the doctor saw me.

I see you just got your implant, how do you like it? Do you think the injections did any damage, or did they just stop working for you as your VL progressed?

Im just 12 days post op , 'liking it' doesnt really come into it yet my friend, its more about healing up and resting up for the next 4 weeks and back to the surgeon to inflate the impant at 6 weeks. The surgery is no joke and takes you off yohr feet for a while, but im keeping my fingers crossed all goes to p,an and I got a good result.

Yes , my venous leak was severe since my mid twenties, i was very disappointed the success with injections lasted less than a year.

I got great , full erections with injections and my partner was none the wiser, though I remember doing jumping jacks in the bathroom thinking if anybody saw me

My urologist did say I had some scarring after one examination , I used to inject both sides of the penis and was having a lot of sex at the time.
The scarring I had did not preclude an implant.

After the injections stopped working I had vein ligation surgery , my dorsal vein was removed and many other drainage veins. After that injecting was far far too painful, so I went for an implant.

My advice would be to inject for as long as you can get away with, get regular check ups for scarring if you injecting for years, and also Get a doppler ultarsound to confirm if you have a VL, and you ll also know how severe or mild it is.
Good luck!

I should add that I experienced the 4 hour erection on 20 plus occasions ,

The 4 hour mark was my point of no return , any longer and I would have gone to the hospital.

Thankfully my penis would become less rigid after this period. It was exhausting though , you'd wake up for work the next day feeling like you'd been in battle sometimes.

There was no long term damage done by this.

VL just happened to be too severe for it to work long term.

Trimix rookie here... I've only had 3 injections thus far but last one has me thinking WTH? Urologist did the 1st injection of 40/30/1 in his office of 0.1 dosage and it ended up lasting 5 hours with me taking 4 30mg Sudafeds at th 3.5 hour mark and putting a bag of ice on it. He injected me on the right side and there was a slight pain around the injection site for maybe 6 to 8 hours. Second injection the wife did on the left side with .06 and everything was good for 3 hours... no injection site discomfort. Third time wife injected me on right side with .05 and said it seemed as if needle was hard to go in. Experienced the same slight dull pain around the injection site again and erection lasted 5 hours again with me putting the bag of ice on it after 3.5 hours. I thought the third round would only last 2 to 2.5 hours.

Questions...
1. Is there a tough layer that the needle has to poke through just on the right side and that is why I'm feeling a bit of discomfort when poked there?

2. Is it normal to have such a difference in erection time based on which side you inject on?

3. I've also experienced a slight bruising type of pain after having sex for quite some time under the head at the top of the shaft after all three Trimix experiences. Is this normal from just having sex for so long or maybe the Trimix itself.

I know my post doesn't seem like it's very positive but each experience was totally awesome having such a good erection and being able to go hot and heavy in any position uncomfortable or not without any fear of losing my erection. I'm just trying to learn more and get some insight from some guys with some experience here.

For whatever reason, the hide on the right side of Little Antelope is much tougher than the hide on the left.

I'm not a medical professional of any type. Nothing I post should be construed as medical advice. Always consult your doctor and follow his/her advice.

I'm still going to have to guess the lack of consistency is due to technique. If all of the juice goes in the right spot then you should consistently get maximum results, possibly more than desired. If part of the juice goes in the wrong spot your erection will be less and you will likely have more pain. When depressing the plunger the resistance should always be minimal. Test the position with aspiration if necessary. That method seems to work well for some. Sometimes pushing the needle in slightly farther (further???) or withdrawing it very slightly can make a world of difference. But the main thing is plunger resistance. It should depress consistently and fairly easily. As for pain and resistance inserting the needle, is there any chance you're going in where you are drilling through some of the ligament? If you still have the capability to "fluff up" before injecting. It sounds like a good idea as it seems it should make the target area bigger. I can't give first hand experience on that.

I have big difference even injecting on the same side :( , and it can be longer even with lesser dose....
IMHO, it can also depends on many factors, what other medication/supplements you took, your current physical and mental condition, maybe even your blood pressure...who knows?!

Yes, there is a "tough layer." It's called the tunica albuginea, usually referred to by the FrankTalk brethren as just "the tunica."

It's the sheath that surrounds the cavernosa, which is the blood-carrying tissue where you're trying to deliver the trimix. Some of the guys who post here have reported bending needles or switching to larger needles to get through it. I've been injecting for four years, long enough to learn the landscape of my penis and to know that in my case the tunica is thicker and harder to penetrate on the left side toward the head.

I can almost always feel the slight resistance before the needle breaks through the tunica. II bent a 30-gauge needle on one occasion. My guess would be that the thickness of the tunica varies from one guy to the next.

If you Google tunica abluginea, you can find some good medical illustrations.

Curious how can you know if it did some damage?

Also, lately , I started to take Trazodone (last pill I took 20 hours before injection) and L-Citrulline. Can be a resaon that my erections are longer even with smaller dose?

I guess you can't, but I don't think it did any. I had a few natural erections (that don't stay long like always) since then. I haven't Injected in the last week because I've been too busy and I need a new mix.

This seems true with me too. I have a MUCH easier time injecting on the left side. On the right side I think the needle just often bounces off the tunica albugenia instead of penetrating it.
