I was injected for the penile doppler test (assuming it was caverject). I am still having hard erections 4 days later.
This was certainly not the case before. How long do the chemicals last? Is this why doctors tell you to take a break between injections?

Used Caverject for about 6 months. Half the time it worked. I think that adjusting the dose was an issue. A weak dose did little or nothing. A stronger dose worked just fine. This "normal" dose would give me an erection for 4 hours or more and sometimes could do it again in the morning...just because I COULD!. When the dose was too strong, the erection would last longer, maybe overnight and into the afternoon, BUT, it was painful. Putting on underwear hurt. Anything on my penis hurt. Mostly it just hurt as long as I had an erection and then some more. For me, an overdose hurt! Yes, I could have penetrated a dozen times but had no desire to since penetration was painful. Possible your injection was an overdose for what you needed and caused the erection to last a long time.

My implant sometimes hurts, too, but it is not the same pain. I can inflate with my normal number of pumps and have no pain all day, but if I go to the max in pumping, I have to deflate in an hour or two as it gets uncomfortable. Overall, after experimenting several dozen times, about 60-75% inflated works great for sex, and I can go until she says uncle. Pumping to the max doesn't seem to affect her, but gets uncomfortable for me eventually.

I guess I wasn't clear. When I was injected the erection went down as soon as I ejaculated. It's just that I feel hardness which I haven't felt in years four days later too.

The initial injection forced fresh extra oxygenated blood into tissue that wasn’t accustomed to being overoxegenated which apparently revitalized the tissue and is now acting positively to the rehabilitation.

It sounds like you might be a candidate for VED therapy. Ask your doctor.
