Hello All,

My doctors nurse called today and they are going to write a script for injection meds. Not sure what kind the pharmacy will call me re shipping and etc.

So I'm to bring the stuff to the doctors when I get it for "training which I assume will be with his nurse. That's not a problem she is a great older lady. But this feels like the weirdest appointment ever and I'm more stressed out about it.

I had 8.5 weeks of radiation and 4 sessions of chemo therapy. I'm all clear and doing amazingly well - they said remarkable response to treatment. It did do a number to my mind sort of like PSTD/combat....worry...

Viagra and Cilas didn't really help much, I'd "grow" a little but never hard enough on it.

First question: I don't remember the last good "hard on" and wondering how this will all work out? So this seems really weird to me...a shot and then a popping hard on in the doctors office?

Any thoughts or reflections?

I've done B12 injections in my leg so needles arn't a major thing I think so far...

PS: my new wife is a dear soul who truly walks beside me through dealing with this.

I've heard all sorts of reactions to the first test shot.
In my case the doc injected me and left telling me to try to get it up.
After 15 or 20 minutes he came back and noticed some nice plumpness.
I drove home quickly, but it wasn't sufficient for intercourse.
I kept upping the amount injected until I got nice results.
Over the next 2 day waits.

Yea it's a bit off putting thinking about it in advance and then doing it the first several times. It's still not "fun" to poke a needle there'; I have to gather myself up and do it. Over 150 or so pokes now in 2 years. But the benefit when you find the right mix and dose and it works well is nirvana again when you get there. I am so over modesty around medical professionals or anyone for that matter (decidedly not a nudist but nature's work is amazing to learn about). I've had my nutsack untrasounded several times for a cyst always by women. Gratefully take the expert training. Really study the vein structure and find good vein-free areas. Yea, a bit strange but so is jerking off for a fertility test. At least you don't have to do that there. Think about and ask as many questions as you can; you will have twice as many after you get home. You will get some minor bruising when you hit small veins, and an occasional rare hematoma if you nick a bigger one. You won't die. I've completed sex with one and the bruise lasted for two weeks. I am much more careful now and use the best light available (that was as good tip here). Just proceed slowly and thoughtfully. Good luck!

My first solo injection was a disaster.
I didn't want to look and just poked the needle in.
I had the feeling of needing to urinate, and got no erection.

Next day I had a large bruise and realize I'd hit a vein and the urethra.
It's imperative that you watch carefully to avoid visible veins (you could hit a non-visible one but it's rare).

Also be sure you don't inject too deep. I draw back to see some blood in the needle, but that's optional.
At least that tells me I'm not too shallow oor deep.

As for me, I look forward to every injection because I am stepping into a time machine, bringing back my youth for a couple of hours. It is a life saver.

From a guy who hates needles. After a few self injections and rock hard hard ons you won't won't mind it a bit. First shot by Dr in his office, second and third by me in his office then 18 months on my own. It's not bad once you get the hang of it. Check this board for everything you need to know and any questions you have.

Thank you all for these responses! I'm still waiting on the pharmacy call to see what was ordered they are sending out.

I started Androgel this past Feb.now 2- 50 gel packets a day...and it took till just now to get to total "T" 688 and free "T" around 83. Results seem to wax and wain. some morning I'm "bigger" but not hard. Close but not there. I'm feeling stronger and good! Just want the "hard ons" back...

Can you use Viagra or calis when you are injecting?

Noticed this in your sig, and have read some posts where guys give a vague warning on not "overdoing it", but what IS overdoing it? If you do not mind, how did this happen? How did you know it was that? Seems like many might have something important to learn. PM if needed.
