This forum was very good giving me encouragement and direction. Thanks men!
If I were asked, this is what I would tell anyone interested in trying injections.
***THERE IS A LEARNING CURVE TO ALL OF THIS!***
*Find a certified urologist that willing to help and not someone that just sends you home with a needle and prescription.
* I found my doc by asking a local compounding pharmacist.
* Appointment made to see the urologist, and then he handed me off to his P.A. The next visit was "the test." I was given a low dosage with the doc doing the first injection with instructions. It was a little mild so he gave me a prescription with instructions to move slowly in increments.
*I found a local compounding pharmacy that filled my prescription for about $120 for two vials. Well worth the price.
* I stepped up to 10 units and found it way too much. I was on my way back to the docs office with a 4 hour erection. It had started to go down once I got there. No treatment necessary.
* I have since settled to 7 units which works fine with me. Nice easy erection with very little discomfort afterwards and it only last a short time after sex.
*I keep mine in the freezer and it still works fine after a year. I has probably lost a little strength but still does the job.
At my dosage and frequency two vials has lasted a long time.
*My doc suggested 31ga needle which works fine for me. I have not tried, nor feel I need to try Autoeject or anything else.
*After a couple of times, it has gotten easier each time. Do as the doc tells you and follow ALL instructions. Don't go off on your own.
*No scarring, no side effects. I alternate sides and use as directed.
*After sex, there is on occasion some discomfort but it's very tolerable until the dose wears off.
*There is a little inconvenience but compared to pumps and tension rings, it doesn't compare.
*Compared to the way things were, I am very, very satisfied.
*Your experiences may differ because we are all different and your sex life may be different from mine but I have no regrets. Use as directed, and remember there is a learning curve and won't happen overnight.
Good Luck men!
