I've used TriMix for years. Pain is always an issue. Should I try Quad Mix before moving on to an Implant?

I moved up to Quadmix from Trimix about 3 months ago, because the Trimix was becoming less effective.

I was doing 30 units of Trimix, now doing 9 or 10 of Quadmix. Price of 10 ml of Quadmix is essentially the same as my old price for Trimix, so my cost per dose is way down.

Just guessing, but unless you had some hypersensitivity to alprostadil (the fourth ingredient for Quadmix), your pain might be no worse. Could possibly be less because, if your experience is like mine, the number of units of your dosage will decrease. That is, you'd be taking less of the Trimix ingredient that's causing your discomfort.

Correction to my earlier post:

The fourth ingredient in Quadmix is atropine. Alprostadil is part of the standard Trimix formula.

Apologies.

Added cock ring in 2016. After dosage reached 30 units, switch to quad mix in May 2018.

Must you still use the ring? I also do but would like to get rid of it -- quite uncomfortable, but with ring can use Trimix of only 20 units (30/30/3). Went to 50 units and really still needed the ring. Thinking of asking for stronger mix or even Quad.

Still find the ring necessary. A recent unsatisfactory session of going without it proved the point.

Yeah, I'd say ask for a stronger mix. As for the ring, yeah, I use them. I'd suggest experimenting with other rings. You have a good chance of finding rings you like better and still work. They're too cheap to not try.
