As a last resort before surgery for BPH, my Dr prescribed 5mg Cialis. I am using 25 units of trimix for ED. If anyone has done this combination, did you find you had to cut back on trimix dose to avoid having erections that last way too long?

I'm not recommending the practice. I'm not remotely qualified to give medical advice. However, I do mix generic Viagra with mono-mix (prostaglandin E1) which only contains one of the ingredients of tri-mix. I like the combination. I find I can use a bit less juice when combined with the blue pill. I've never used Cialis or tri-mix. Is your doctor recommending the combination? I generally follow my doctors advice.

There are some men, including me, who sometimes use Cialis and trimix on the same day. I can take 20 mg of Cialis in the morning and top if off that night with an injection, if I want. But my ED is pretty severe. Even with combining the meds I've never had an erection of more than about 75 minutes, so priapism isn't something I am concerned about. i just want a really firm erection for the hour or so that I'm going to use it.
Consult with your doctor, but I would say that the tiny amount of Cialis you are taking is fine with your injections. In fact, my original urologist told me that I could take that amount as a daily dosage along with the injections. But you should obviously consult with your own physician.
For what it's worth, the pharmacist who blends my trimix told me he has many paitents who mix pills with trimix. But I reiterate that overall, the medical community is generally against the practice. Daily use of 5 mg of Cialis may be an exception, however.
Talk it over with your urologist.

I have tried daily 5mg Cialis along with Trimix injections. For me...at least on my current formulation (Papaverine 30 mg/Phentolamine 1 mg/Prostaglandin 10 mcg), I don't get consistent results. One time .015ML wont be enough and the next time it will be too much. My E.D. is not too severe, so take that into account. Normally with no Cialis for 72 hours, I use .025ML with pretty consistent results. I was told to start out with .05, but being super cautious I started with .03 to be safe and ended up having to use the antidote injection 4 hours later. I'm gonna try a different formulation next time.

After Trimix became ineffective. I was taking 5 units of Challis daily and even 75 units of Trimix was ineffective.

How long did you use Trimix before it became ineffective?

I was using 5mg Cialis daily and trimix did not give satisfactory results. Upped it to 10 mg cialis daily and trimix working just fine. I know doctors don't usually recommend taking Cialis with trimix, but we have to experiment and figure out what works for us

Can I ask what injection antidote you're referring to? The doctor I deal with appears to only offer a Sudafed-like pill for priapism and never mentioned any type of injection.

Phenylephrine 0.1% can be injected like Trimix to reverse priapism.
Phenylephrine: Some physicians provide you with a prescription of “Priapism rescue kit” with 2mL pre-diluted Phenylephrine HCl 0.1% (1mg/mL) vials that you may obtain with your first prescription of Tri-Mix from a compounding pharmacy. Typical protocol is 0.5mL every 5 minutes up to 2mL until detumescence (soft penis) starts

I have been taking 5mgs of Cialis daily for BPH for at least the past 5 years while injecting up to 20mls of Trimix before sex, and never had a problem with prolonged erections...THe URO doc who prescribes the Cialis doesn't know I inject, because he wouldn't prescribe Trimix at the time I asked for it some 7 years ago. The URO doc who prescribes the Trimix knows of my other ED meds, but recommends a lower Trimix dose than 20mls. I often read on this site of guys having sex for hours while on Trimix, and frankly I don't believe most of them. I've read studies how men actually have sex for far less time than they "believe" they actually are...anyway, it's a tight rope walk. I'm not giving medical advice here, discuss it with your Doc and listen to your body. Through all my medical issues throughout my life I've learned I know my body better than most Docs...Trimix gave me back my sex life, and I have a routine I've been following now for like 7 years and I have had satisfactory results...with some bumps along the way of course.
