First time shot experience

Hi
I have been reading and leaning for a few weeks and though I should share my experience with the community. I'm going to tell you the story so I'll try not to ramble. I'm 54, in good health running & eating healthy, no other medical issues. In Oct 2011 had a robotic radical prostatectomy so I'm almost 5 months out and working through the side effects. My psa is 0 and incontinence is gone so two out of three isn't bad. Now one more to go and as you all know this is a biggie (pun intended). I started ED rehab at 4 weeks with Viagra and got a good response at first but it went downhill from there. Per the Dr that is normal as it takes a while for all the healing. I added trazodon because I read on another site the one of the side effects is nocturnal erections. I did this to keep the blood flowing, and help me sleep, without a sleep aid that counteracts erections. So last month not seeing any progress I saw the URO and got set-up for trimax. The appointment at the URO was quick and easy; he was in and out in no time, left me with a raging hard on and sent me out. I was barely instructed on how to use it, so I did some trolling here and Healing Well and got the gist of it. That Saturday night my wife and I planned on a round of fun and together we did the shot, nothing. We worked around it but I was disappointed, bless her she was unfazed and told me we can have another date the next evening. Well you don’t need to ask me twice so I was pumped for another round. Next evening we go again, using the same dosage as the previous evening (10cc? not sure of the metric system) and in 10 minutes I'm good to go. The shot the Dr did lasted an hour and after an hour we thought we should take a break. It was late so we fell asleep, I woke two hours later and low and behold I'm still rock hard. We all know the warning label, so I grab the Sudafed, the ice, start walking but no relief. Now, wife and I head to the ER and after almost 7 hours the ER Dr used all the tools at his disposal to no avail. This left on option other than manually draining my member and inserting drugs to let the blood out. Needless to say that took the wind out of my sails. I saw the URO the next day, he checked me out and said there was no damage. I don't know how he came to that conclusion just looking at my dick, but OK it was bruised and sore. I waited three weeks and I/we opted to try again. This time we cut the dose to 5 and it worked, it lasted about an hour strong and at 1.5hrs I stated the Sudafed, and walking and it released completely. We have done it again and no results so I must have missed with the shot. I'm going to keep trying and monitoring the how and where to get it right, and consistent. I know there is a sweet spot and with practice I’ll get there. The point of all this is not to give up, ask questions and maybe someone else can learn from this.
Thanks Paul
