Priapism event

I’m having priapism going on 16 hours . I finally am on my way to the ER. What should I expect? This is my first post sorry it had to be about this!

I take Trimix 10 units which was working about 1/2 the time. So, instead of bumping it up 1 or 2 units I went right to 15. I've had some medium priapism 2-5 hours in the past but this time scared me. By the time I was treated at the ER it had been a full 24 hours. I'm glad I went now...damn that was uncomfortable. First I got an IV for fluids and meds and I knew then this was more serious than I realized. Next was 2 shots in the base of the penis to numb for syringes that followed. Then they inserted a Big @rse needle into each side of the cavernosa to draw the trapped blood out. Then each side of the cavernosa received a shot to open the blood vessels. Yes it worked!! Hopefully no damage but I'm going to be black and blue for awhile plus a big puffy sack of trapped blood between the skin and lining. I don't ever want to go through that again and I will go VERY slowly when making dose adjustments in the future. Don't jump up the dose too fast! -brm
