Better Cock Rings, Better Placement

I'm an injector, fairly soon to be an implantee.

I've tried many cock rings over the years. Few have worked well because of many factors.

I'm going to suggest 2 different approaches to using cock rings that have worked very well for me:
1. Go to a drug store and buy a $1.79 package of stretchy rings that women use to wrap their hair into pony tails. They come ~20 to a pack, they are not very strong, and some are tighter/looser than others. They are nothing more than a rubber band with a cloth wrap around them. I use 1, 2, or 3 of them concurrently, as my current condition dictates, to apply pressure to the base of my penis. If I've overdone it, I remove one. If I need another, I add one. They are comfortable and allow great variability in application.
2. Placement. I place the the pony tail ring(s) around the base of my penis and under/behind my testicles/scrotum, so they apply maximum pressure right at the base of my penis, before the root of it disappears into my body. This has given me maximum increases in hardness.

That's what I use and how I use them. Your mileage may vary.

I too, have tried a number of different rings, BUT what you suggest could lead to tissue damage. The wider the "ring" or the larger its thickness is the safest, because it spreads out the force to the shaft and, in my opinion, is most effective for the purpose. Using cords, string, hair bands, etc. is asking for trouble, but hey, to each his own! Good Luck!!!

For some of us with severe ED, cock rings and hair bands do not apply enough tension to prevent the outflow of blood

Until my ED worsened, I found that a 1/2” rubber band doubled over and placed around the whole unit (behind the balls) as mentioned by niarceel with his hair ties, worked for several years. Unfortunately, as my ED worsened, only an Osbon tension band was tight enough to prevent blood out flow.

I use these:

Velcro Brand 8 in. x 1/2 in. Multi-Color One-Wrap Straps (5-Pack).

If like was said that wider is better, then 1/2" wide is pretty good.

It has the neat loop and tongue method of cinching so you can loosen and retighten by tiny amounts pretty easily without messing up the whole thing.

8" length is just about at the limit tho for wrapping around whole cock-and-ball package. Just be sure to add it on loosely before you are totally erect and should have enough to cinch it.

At $3 for 5 colorful straps you are good for a year or so. Or get manly BLACK ones for a few cents more. And of course, you can go to the very Manly Home Depot or Lowes to get em -- no need to tell anyone you have a big cable that needs cinching up...

There is a website mentioned on a couple other threads that have higher-end rings of various construction - it's http://www.allknight.com. Fair warning - it is a graphically sexual site. But they have anatomically-appropriate designs. If you're a victim of a venous leak, their rings are designed to apply pressure on the dorsal vein on the top of the penis. I have both the "horseshoe" metal ring that I wear at the base of my shaft:
https://allknight.com/products/cock-enh ... kring.aspx

and the flexible adjustable "Infinity clamp" that I wear behind my balls:
https://allknight.com/products/cock-enh ... kring.aspx

They aren't cheap, but are very well made. Customer service is good. Rings are custom sized, but if your measurements doesnt result in the correct fit, their resize fee is very modest.

Can you have equal success with a velcro strap? It's worth a try for sure. But my wife likes watching me put on my "toys".

Good luck!

These rings seem quite interesting, albeit super expensive.
Can you share some more info about them? Which one do you prefer? How do you use them (just the one, in combination of other things, etc)? What other ED treatment do you use, injections, ved etc?
We'd love to order one of those but we can't do it blindly since the shipping to EU will probably be quite expensive too, on top of the base price being high. Gotta learn more before deciding :)

I had prostate surgery 5 years ago which resulted in my ED. I use injections, but my HMO has limited access to stronger formulations. I could get insured coverage for for 20/1/30 but anything stronger I'd have to pay retail. So I use this formulation.

Sometimes, my erection isn't as rigid as I prefer. I started experimenting and found that pressure on the dorsal vein area (topside of penis) greatly increased my rigidity.

I saw a reference here on FrankTalk about this company, and chose to order a ring after unsuccessfully searching for the Osbon band mentioned in many threads here.

The "horseshoe" ring has a "negative curve" (like a V) at the top of the ring. It is made of metal and has a large clip to close the ring. It comes with a series of silicone rings installed, so if it is too tight, you can cut off some of the rings to adjust the fit.

I've found this ring to work great for me. My wife likes the look and the metal provides some additional pressure on her vaginal area that she really likes. It turns my rigidity from a 7 to a 9 or 10. Once put on, it's comfortable. Putting it on can be a bit tricky - you can pinch your skin easily. I inject and wait a few minutes until my erection begins to grow, then put on the ring.

The Infinity Clamp model I bought has a metal ball at the top of the flexible clamp (it's made of silicone) that applies pressure to the dorsal vein. They have more expensive models that have additional balls around the ring. I use this clamp behind my balls as an alternative - I am a little bit short (5") and clamping behind the balls gives me a little more length which allows more variety of positions without "disconnecting".

The tightening band is nylon and the only complaint I have is that it's easy to pinch the loose skin around my balls. But it adjusts easily and keeps tight. Again, it helps my rigidity.

You can experiment with rubber bands or velcro. I'd suggest trying to add some pressure to the dorsal vein area - maybe glue a ball bearing to some velco - to see if you have success. Then you can invest in a high quality ring like the ones from from allknight.

I'm happy to answer any specific questions you may have.

Thanks for the details mate!

How did you go about sizing the ring before ordering? I have a fairly small penis and most rings in shops are too large for me...

The allknight website has instructions on how to measure your girth (just use a string to measure circumference) and then it will recommend a size of ring - they have lots of sizes. Their customer service people are very helpful, too.
