I've been using trimix 30/1/10 for a couple weeks with positive results. Currently using about 22 units with gives me about an 45 minutes to an hour of usable erection.
I can also use 24 -25 units with effects ranging between 2 -3 hrs. As you can see going up just a small amount gives me a duration a lot longer than needed. That's part of my dilemma.
The reason i requested a stronger mix (30/1/20) is because although the previous mix was working well i wanted to see if i could get more firmness to my erection. Right now i feel like the firmness is averaging 90% of what it could be. It occasionally peaks for a minute or two at max firmness and i enjoy that feeling very much.
So my question is given the new mix what would be a good starting volume? trying to avoid a prolonged erection but i also want a positive result.
Thanks!
I'll be introducing myself shortly.
I definitely don't know what would be a good starting volume to answer your question and I don't think any of us here can really do a good job answering this for you. Trimix is so ridiculously individualized. It's insanely effective for a lot of us, but it does take a bit of babysitting and tweaking for some to fine tune, and to continue longer term with efficacy and the results we want.
To my knowledge, the 3 constituent ingredients used to produce Trimix are typically listed in this order as follows:
Papaverine / Phentolamine / Prostaglandin (Alprostadil)
You were prescribed what's very commonly a starter dose. Same dose I was on for almost 5 years. My pharmacy called it "Mix #5":
mix #5: 30mg 1mg 10 mcg's
I started I think at 20 units and it took me 4.5+ years to max it out at a full syringe, 100 units. After some time on 100 units, erection quality and duration lessened. I would definitely stipulate that "erection quality" is of course highly subjective...likewise, "duration" desired. I asked and expected and demanded a hell of a lot from my dick, but obviously a highly individual thing. I wanted rock hard and 90-120 minutes was my expectation and goal. When that would wane, I'd get antsy. So at that point where 100 units of that starter mix 5 lessened in effect I moved up to mix #8, where the phentolamine and prostaglandin were both doubled:
mix #8: 30mg 2mg 20 mcg's
However, the new dosing recommendations I received at the time made no sense whatever. The pharmacy recommended I start the new mix #8 at 30 units. But the simple math did not compute and needs scrutiny I think for anyone changing doses.
They doubled the relative
potency of the prostaglandin, for example, but then recommended a new dose which was (by
volume) to start at less than 1/3 of the prior dose. To have just remained exactly even, at the same relative total dose delivered per injection, would have meant starting me at 50 units of the new mix #8 (doubled potency mix) in comparison to the 100 units I had been taking of the prior half-strength mix #5. When I called this pretty basic math conflict out, I sort of got blank stares. This was followed by a prompt parting of the ways between myself and that particular pharmacy. I went and found one where the founder was one of the pioneers of Trimix coming to market. Entirely different (better) experience going forward.
For what it's worth, here were the other standard mixes my pharmacy produced:
mix #9: 30mg 4mg 40 mcg's
mix #13: 30mg 6mg 60 mcg's
mix #16: 30mg 6mg 100 mcg's
For whatever it may be worth. I guess the main message simply being that you need good expertise from your doc and your pharmacy, but you've absolutely always got to check it all for yourself, your body, your partner, your goals as a couple, and just be assertive and fine tune things proactively.
