I have been using Carverject injections for about 6 months (premixed vial from pharmacy). The last couple times I injected, I had a very uncomfortable pain after intercourse. I don’t think I injected too much, as my erection lasted no more than hour. Anyone else experience this?

Thanks.

I too used Caverject mine was the impulse with the diluent an drug in an dial off click type syringe unit, or sometime Edex syringe units 20 micrograms.

Anyway I also had the ache in my shaft that some times got pretty intense usually lasting about an hour post orgasm. I thought it was from the needle but in my case it was as always the right side even if injected the left.

I mentioned this to my urologist and he said it was a pretty common side effect and as long as it goes away in about that hour not to worry.

Keep an eye out for changes in pain, curving or hour glassing as those can be early signs of Peyronie’s which is also a side effect of injections.

Speak to your urologist so that you and he can document the pain and any changes to your penis.

I originally experienced some pain or ache with the alprostadil but that lessened over time and I think that experience is fairly typical. Your experience of originally not having pain and then developing a pain response after using it for several months is, I believe, unusual. I can only recommend that you ask your doctor.

Agree with BLDOINK. Initally some aching but gradually lessening and now not even noticable.
