OK so my first self-administered injection (using an auto injector) went surprisingly well. Didn't get a full erection but it was definitely working.

Tried again a couple days later and it was a disaster I'm still recovering from. I bent the needle and the med didn't really go fully in. But when I retracted the needle and looked at it I got squeamish and passed out. Full-on falling on the floor and conking my head. Very scary as I was all alone when it happened.

Went to the ER and I'm fine (minor bruise to my head and nothing else). Also had some gnarly swelling on my penis that has subsided. ER doc confirmed it was NOT priapism and not to worry.

However, yesterday and today I can't even get the partial erections I got before the injection. Now, I did wake up with partial erections for the last two mornings which is a good sign but it's as if there's just no erotic "sensation" down there to jump-start an erection when masturbating. My penis also feels number than usual (I've had reduced penile sensation since changing my SSRI medication 15 years ago, but this is worse).

I mean, even if I'm not in the mood I could always get a little wood going. Not now. My penis just feels "different" somehow, like there's still some medication in there bulging it in the shaft.

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED? I'M TERRIFIED THE INJECTION DAMAGED ME AND MADE ME IMPOTENT. I pray to god it's all in my head.

Anyone else had this happen?

I'm not too sure about the giving you worse ED, but probably traumatized your dick some. I'm inject myself, but not with a auto inject cause I have a lot of veins to deal with . I would try loading a dry syringe, like you would to inject and dry fire it in the air to see if faulty or operator error. There's guys on here to hopefully help you more that use them, it's just something I would CK to see if properly working.

Use the auto injector for years with no problem. You have to inject in the correct area. The syringes are very fragile and cannot take much more than breaking the skin. My wife has been a nurse for 40 yrs. she would always draw up my meds and usually inject to use auto injector . No problem with her. I have had several problems trying to give the same injection. My hands are not near as good as hers. I have broken same needles trying to draw up Med and even trying to break the skin trying to give the same injection. Good hands and knowing what your doing and how to do it makes a world of difference. Just being nervous makes a big difference.

Try not using the auto-injector. Doing it manually you can get a feel to determine if you're in the correct spot before you inject all of the meds. Too much resistance or pain, then adjust your depth, usually deeper but sometimes you can go too deep too so you might have to pull out a tad. Also, I prefer to depress the plunger slowly in short pulses.

I've had a few misfires, one early 2 1/2 years ago starting TriMix that really alarmed me and led to some testing, and a similar one recently. Here's the deal, from some skin testing I did on my forearm, PGE seems to induce a variety of "hemorrhage". A very small amount (0.05ml) injected just under the skin yields a sizable bruise. It does not hurt but goes from a raised red welt to purple to black like a blunt force trauma bruise. In the cavernosa this is apparently desirable. BUT. In the surface skin this is a disaster. My two worse bad injections (and probably others of lesser degree) were where I did not get the needle into the cavernosa but between the surface skin and cavernosa envelope.There it causes significant red angry swelling and internal bruising that IS painful. I soaked it in ice water for a few days. It can take a week for those to fully resolve and do not inject it or use it. It left the surface skin somewhat flabby. I did nick a big vein nearby a week later and a lot of blood migrated and pooled in that injured area, so I laid off another week. Also, I do have a thick or tough patch on the left rear that I just can't inject into. It's like shoe leather. I recently bent a 29ga needle there. So trying to mix it up over injection sites over time with a web of veins and tough patches is limiting. I'd been doing really goodfor a long time in well over 220 hits in 3 1/2 years with just pinpoint needle bruises occasionally, then blew these. In doing it properly you have to feel the second penetration into the caveronosa envelope and then gently push in a small bit. Then inject. I trust manual injection.
