Erection angle

Ive noticed last night after injecting and looking in the mirror that my erection wasnt at 90 degrees. Although it was very hard the skin on the shaft was loose. is this normal. Also do you get a better angle if injection nearer the base? Also how does one measure the hardness of an erection? I see terms used 100%, 80% etc.
