I did some research on this and other forums. Seems like it's fine to store Trimix in a preloaded syringe out of refrigerator for up to 30 days for travel, when refrigeration isn't available. I understand about pulling some more air to keep the solution away from the needle.

But what about sterility? In a standard 1cc insulin syringe, that cap over the needle is not truly sealed, it clicks a bit but there isn't a full seal. Is that a sterility concern?

Similar technique is used by diabetics carying insulin. How do they deal with it? Actually, sterility is a bigger concern in my mind in regards to sticking my penis vs some belly fat tissue....

What preservative is used in your Trimix? Benzyl Alcohol?

It says Bacteriostatic Water.

I am a pharmacist and have experience with sterile product preparation. In my opinion, I would not store pre filled syringes for more than 24 hours at room temp. Bacteriostatic water will retard bacterial growth for sure but you a preparing these syringes in a non-sterile environment (we generally use a laminar flow hood to prepare injectable medication in the hospital). There is always a risk of contamination in the preparation process. I would try to use ice or a some other cooling device for transport. This might be overkill but I share your concern about injecting a non sterile product into your penis. You could call the pharmacist where you get the trimix and ask. I doubt if they would recommend longterm room temperature storage.

When I was using Trimix and traveled I used a diabetic travel pack. It's a small insulated bag with an ice pack inside. Put the vial of mix in there with frozen ice pack and it would last a good 8 hours.

When you travel with your whole vial in room temperature, you risk aging it faster. What if I get empty sterile vials, transfer a bit to it and travel with it instead, drawing from it into a sterile syringe before use, while the rest of the solution stays at home in that original vial?

Is that the only right way? Had anyone done it the way l described originally, traveling with a pre-filled syringe without a cooler and gotten any infection issues?

I found on Amazon a device that is essentially a very small refrigerator. It looks like a 1 liter stainless steel drink cup. The top has a small cooler unit that is powered by micro-usb. It's for transporting insulin syringes. And it's tsa approved. One could power that with power pack on a trip and keep stuff cool.
