Need new compounding pharmacy

Postby jgf711 » Sun Jun 10, 2012 10:10 am

I received a letter from my current pharmacy regarding a recall due to bad FDA inspection results. Please provide who you use and approximately cost for 10 ml. Thanks.

I get my trimix from The Apothecary Shop in Phoenix. They do have a mail order facility and other locations. The last time mine was $35 for 4 mL. I picked it up at the shop close to our home. I don't know how much was paid by insurance.

My insurance carrier is Caremark and Caremark will not reimburse any of my prescription of Trimix from my local Pharmacy because they refuse to provide individual costing details on the components. Do you have Caremark as your insurance carrier?

Thanks everyone for the information. I ordered from Wedgewood as it's closest to my house.

I was also using Wedgewood, but they will not provide costing details on individual ingredients, so CVSCaremark will not cover my prescription.

The Apothecary Shop called today to advise that Caremark will cover my prescription from them. I was advised that my net cost for five 2 ml vials after insurance will be $7.90. Thanks spartan for the referral. You have saved me a lot of money.
