Pain from penile drainage. Is that permanent??

I had my first dopler sonogram 3 days ago. During the procedure a doctor injected me with 10mcg of PDE1 (0.5cc of 20mcg/cc solution, using 31g/8mm needle). The office was about to close in about one hour, but 1.5 hrs after the procedure I still had an erection, I told doc that it's OK and I will inject Phenylephrine which I have at home if erection will still be there 4 hrs after, since I have experience injecting myself because I used trimix 4 times in my life (and one time Phenylephrine).

But he said from how firm my erection looks, I will likely have to have it drainined. I suppose he felt some liability if he would let me go. So he insisted on draining it. It was a pretty thick gauge butterfly needle that was injected in my penis for about 20 min, he also injected Phenylephrine through the same catheter needle. He was moving my penis a little to help draining when butterfly needle was still there. He said that the procedure is totally safe and he has done thousands of these. He is also a surgeon and does penile implants...

Long story short, I still have slight pain/discomfort all the time, especially during urination and ejaculation. I called him and he said that some people experience pain for 2-3 days post procedure...

Is that normal to have some pain 3 days after such a procedure? Did he hit a nerve? Has anyone experienced similar pain after drainage? I'm really scared of this being permanent...

I've never had the procedure done. I can see it being sore for a few days. It should not be permanent. I'd be a bit displeased with the doctor.

I'm glad you got past that.
