Hello everybody
So the last week i did injections for the first time.
First time was right side, about one inch above the base, 3 o'clock. I injected 10 mcg and got 90% hard in about 60 seconds. The erection did only go down after four hours where the last hour was used to walk around in somewhat panic.
The second one was left side, a bit further up the shaft, 9 o'clock. This time i tried only 5 mcg because of fear of priapism. I noticed this time around when injecting that i was far more nervous, which made my dick turtle up. This made getting the 31g needle through more challenging and more painfull. I only manage to get about 50-60% erect after some 20 minutes, and when i tried to penetrate 30 minutes later, i lost it for good. Game over.
Is this kind of discrepancy in result between the dosages normal? One gave me borderline priapism, the other one a semi not good enough for sex. What am i suppose to inject now? I'm strongly considering going back to 10 mcg.
My first two PGE1 injections - very mixed results

Experimenting with PGE1 injections
which occasionally works too good and other times,
too poorly. Confusing situation.

Well you aren't supposed to go past four hours but I expect you are fine. I've bounced around the 4 hour mark a bunch of times. Obviously a longer erection that what is usually desired, but not always.
Don't be scared. I'm guessing you're safe at 10 units but it's just longer than desired. You're fine. The fact that the first shot wasn't painful (assumption) and the second was painful, combined with less than desired results, indicates to me that your injection wasn't properly placed. If the meds hurt when you're pushing them in - STOP. Adjust the depth in or out and try again because your depth is probably off. Probably not deep enough but could also possibly be too deep. Of course 5 units might just not be enough so it could even be a combination of wrong placement (probably depth) and not enough juice.
Remember, if it hurts when you depress the plunger or the plunger is difficult to depress or aspirate (draw a tiny amount of blood into the syringe) then adjust your depth in or out a tad until it is easy to depress or aspirate.
I'll often insert the needle to what I think is the correct depth and then aspirate a tiny amount by pulling back on the plunger ever so slightly. I don't actually aspirate enough to see blood but just enough to be able to tell the plunger will easily withdraw. If I find the plunger pulls back easily I then try pushing the meds in. If the resistance is light I push the meds in slowly as that reduces the likelyhood of pain from the meds as they are able to disperse instead of suddenly being injected as big concentrated slug of drugs.
Good luck.

With 4 hours at 10 units I probably would have dropped to 7 units or so. If 10 units gave you 4 hours it doesn't mean 5 units will give you 2 hours. I wish it computed that easily. Some trial and error is involved.phallus wrote:The second one was left side, a bit further up the shaft, 9 o'clock. This time i tried only 5 mcg because of fear of priapism. No, it's not normal or desired but it's not uncommon for a beginner. Concentrate on improving your injection technique because an inconsistent injection technique will provide inconsistent results. Consider trying a few solo injections so there is no pressure to perform while you get past the learning curve. I'd try 7 units next but that would be a good question for your doctor.phallus wrote:Is this kind of discrepancy in result between the dosages normal? Re: My first two PGE1 injections - very mixed results
Only been injecting for about 6weeks so on about my 15th shot of Trimix. I have had similar varied responses at first, realized I probably went too deep and got first part of shot in ureathra. With more confidence and experience the shots seem much more consistent. Also realized that I take an allergy prescription ea morning and shots within the first 6-8 hours after taking allergy med are not very effective. So if the wife and I are having a Saturday morning go, I hold off on my meds.
59 years old ED started mid 40s pills failed after 10 years. Injections works but diminishing results with pain. Implanted 5-22 Baylor,Scott, and White Dallas.Dr Michael Wierschem, infrapubic Coloplast 20cm and 1cm RTE. Going strong and loving it!
