I guess I amn trying to determine if i am going too deep or not deep enough. The last 2 injections I tried the plunger would not go down and when i pulled the needle out it sprayed the room. So am I going too deep or not deep enough. I am using 1/2 in needles.
Thanks for any advice

I don't use an autoject.
A 1/2" needle should be plenty long enough. More importantly, what depth do you have the Autoject set for. It could be a 1/2" needle but you may only be making use of 1/4" of it. As another Autoject user suggested in another thread, I'd try setting needle depth to 3/8". At that depth, if the plunger doesn't go down, don't pull the needle out, try instead to press the whole contraption a bit harder against your dick to see it it then releases.
Otherwise, it's hard to make a good guess if you aren't deep enough or are too shallow as you didn't specify what you have your needle depth set at.

Check the depth by inserting a empty needle in the base. Most have a dial so you can adjust depth. Where you inject makes a difference too.

In the past I used the entire 1/2" needle. I have not injected in sometime due to some medical issues and am just getting re4ady to do it again.

Well, I figure you're either too shallow or too deep. Try changing up in one direction or the other.
Sometimes I find I have to punch through a bit too deep and then back out a tad. I'm guessing I'm having to press harder to punch through a tough spot in the tunica which is bowing in under needle pressure and then when it pierces and the tunica then pops back up, having been pierced, it leaves the needle to deep and embedded in other tissue. Backing out a tad then makes everything good. I don't know how that information can be transferred to Autoject use. Well I guess you could still trying to press the whole autoject harder against your dick to see if that might help.
I realize my lack of experience with the Autoject makes my suggestions less relevant.
Good luck.

That is the horrifying thought that keeps me using an auto injector -- I give myself different shots, but that sounds like I'm sitting there digging into my dick.

My introduction to Trimix was with an auto injector. Worked fine with correct depth setting. But there is/was enough "wiggle" using a 1/2inch 50 unit syringe that unless I loaded the auto injector and then looked back down the "barrel" to see where the needle was placed not always sure of precise target - not good. Long story short: because of the wealth of information on this board, I "graduated" to manual injections. And, I have a serious phobia re needles
I use the EasyTouch brand which I have found to have a very smooth plunger - my local compounding pharmacy gives me a supply with my refills
Which model of Autoject are you using? I found that on occasion the El version would "hang up" for lack of a better description and I had to press the plunger "stalk" down to complete the injection. Hope that helps.

When I started injections the first couple worked fine then I started to have problems. What was actually happening is the needle was hitting the side of the injector at the tip causing it to bounce off of it ever so slightly. I truly believe that that was causing the misfires. I got a second one and it did the very same thing. Being a diabetic I just went to freehand. That worked a lot better for me. It takes a bit to get used to looking in the mirror and doing it because of my gut being in the way but I eventually got the hang of it. Try it you might have better luck. I don’t know what the name of the injectors were but I thought they were to bulky especially when you are flaccid. Good luck!!!
