Zero response from Injections. wits end.whats going on?

Hello everyone

I have been dealing with progressively worsening ED after turning 40. Family doctor prescribed Cialis that and also Viagara worked for a year.Last October went to a clinic in Toronto who tried three sessions of multiple dosage of IC but I only felt a burn and pain that lasted for an hour plus..but no erection. Interestingly I can get an erection sometimes without anything, with daily 10mg Cialis its better and sometimes morning wood.

Last week I visited another doctor in Toronto( who was referred by a friend who is also his patient and very happy with his IC results). He tried two dosage of Trimix. There was almost zero burning and little pain afterwards however no erection.

Does anyone know what might be the reason. I still can have recertions with/without Cialis and Viagara..obviously quality is not what I am expecting but its a erection none the less.Why the IC has zero effect. The second doc mentioned he tried 50% of max dosage on the second attempt.

Have an appointment with same doctor next week...maybe he will try higher that 50%.

Really perplexed..advice ideas welcome.

I would say keep going to your dick doc and get the dosage figured out....I used injections for several years (20+ yrs ago), I liked them and was very satisfied, there was still things about them I didn’t like, I finally talked to my cocksmith about implants and decided to go for it, I’ve never looked back, it’s self contained and railroad spike hard in seconds every time, and stays that way until you decide your done, your dick gets that kind of hard you had in high school that’s so full and hard it hurts, and the teacher asks you to the blackboard to work a problem.....just saying.....I would have skipped the shots if I knew then what I know now....... but it’s a big decision obviously. Write back with questions, I am interested in knowing how it turns out

I'm sorry you're having difficulties. I'm also perplexed as to why the injections don't seem to be working when you can still get an erection naturally or with pills. It's my understanding that the usual cause that injections fail to cause an erection is a venous leak that exceeds the ability of the injection drugs to compensate. That doesn't seem to be the issue in your case. I don't have an answer. I pray your doctors can figure it out.

It seems strange that the clinic trial resulted in burn and extended pain with no erection while the trial with the other doctor had little pain but no erection. Do you know what mix they were trying?

I don't know what your plan should be. Hopefully you can get with a good medical professional that wants to figure it out with you. Perhaps you're destined for an implant. I wouldn't know and wouldn't try to dissuade you if you and your doctor find that's the best path forward. However, I would caution you to not get swayed by implantees that like to come to the injections and other sub-forums and proselytize for implants. If an implant is where you end up then great. They are a great option when appropriate. Don't get talked into rushing it.

Thank you gents for the responses.

I was researching venous leaks and one of the factors can be anxiety.I can tolerate some pain..had rhinoplasty and adult circumcision and few other medical/surgical procedures.
However the pain from the IC injections did hurt and that might be only possible reason I was in mental state that might have affected the erection.

Though I asked the doctor and from the research i have done here..IC doesnt need mental stimulation unlike pills.

Will post what happens next week.

When pills stopped working I tried injections - many compounds, many doses - over a period of about a year and never had any response to any of them. That's when I got the implant, but that's another story.

It's very unusual after 5 injections that you had zero response, after stating that you can achieve an erection occasionally on your own and with Cialis

Did the clinicians do all of these injections?

Also I noticed that you have had some cosmetic procedures for girth done to your penis, what is the substance in the dermal fillers made of and was it injected into your corp cavernosum?

Have you had procedures like that done more than once?

Did you ask your doctor if it is possible that these substances that added girth can be hindering the effect of trimix in your cavernosum

The dermal filler are injected under the skin with a blunt Canula and it doesnt enter the cavernosa. I have mentioned about the filler to the doc I am seeing now. My ED has started before I got the fillers.

Update after second day with second clinic IC

Doctor injected 100ml of Trimix. Got around 65 erection that lasted for an hour almost. After driving back home noticed swelling and mild pain and burning on the side of injection. There is still a round bulge on the side of the shaft.

Already had an autoinjector..never used that earlier.
Was give the training for self injecting and a vial of "super trimix" that costs 100$ and with a dosage of 100ml per shot it should last me 5 shots.

Also got Levitra..have a date tomorrow..should be able to find out. Not going to try injecting tomorrow. Will practice few times be myself first and if the pain/erection ratio doesnt get better..maybe implant is the way ahead.

Injections are tricky; see my technique in this topic, thread "Painful injection - ..." 10-12-20. After three years and hundreds of injections I still get 10% wrong. Keep trying.
