Just received my Trimix
Just received my Trimix
Hi first time posting, long time viewer. I just received my trimix package. The mixture is Alprostadil/ Papaverine HC/Phentolamine (Trimix) BUD 5.88 MCG/18 MG/ 0.6MG/ML Injectable. My Urologist instructions are to start with.08 ML. Will give it a test run tonight. I received 5 one ML veils. 4 in the freezer and 1 in the refrigerator. Any tips to help me on my way?

Re: Just received my Trimix
what's your background with ED brother?
I personally would start with 5 units to play if safe (even though your trimix strength is already low). increase by 2-3 units until you find that sweet-spot dosage where it gives you a strong erection that lasts for a while, but not too long. As far as syringes as concerned, it's probably good to start with u-100 ones (probably 31 gauge and 5/16 inch to start off). put pressure on injection site with alcohol swab right after injection and hold for a couple mins.

Yes, most guys use the U-100 diabetic syringes. they are marked in "units". There are 100 of the U-100 units in a Ml. So your .08ml dose would be 8 units. .05 ml would be 5 units, etc. I also agree on the needle gauge and length although many guys use 1/2" needles and 30 gauge needles. You'll have to experiment and see which works best for you. Also with the tiny dose you're starting at, syringes of a capacity of .3cc or 1/3ml would be ideal and easier to meter and easier to inject.
That is a weak mix you're starting with but it might be the ticket for you. Don't be surprised if you need a stronger mix but if you're lucky that mix will work fine.
I keep all of my mix frozen. The alprostadil doesn't last long unfrozen but will last nearly a year if frozen. The other ingredients are much more stable.
There can be a learning curve to administering the injection. Did your doctor give instructions and a demo?

How long do you believe it stays potent in the fridge?
Born 1995
Possibly VL since 16.
Experimenting with PGE1 injections
which occasionally works too good and other times,
too poorly. Confusing situation.

I always freeze mine so I can't really answer that. The container my vials come in say to discard after 3 days if refrigerated. It also says to discard after 45 days when frozen. I've used frozen alprostadil mono-mix months after expiration. I told the pharmacist that and he seemed unfazed. Ask your doctor or pharmacist and follow their advice. Everything I've read says it loses it's potency within just a few days if not frozen.
I have no medical credentials and nothing I post should be relied upon as medical advice. I know nothing!

I'm not a medical professional of any kind. Anything I post is at best based on my own experiences and at worst based on hallucinations or delusions. Internet forum advice is likely worth what you paid for it, or worse. Always ask your doctor and follow his/her advice.
Although I have frozen loaded syringes I haven't done it very often. I keep all of my vials in the freezer. The one I'm using out of goes in the front where it usually doesn't freeze solid due to the saline. The rest go in the back of the freezer where they freeze solid. The vial I'm using out of thaws in one or two minutes even if it's frozen solid, I draw up and toss it back in the freezer.
When I've frozen loaded syringes I just loaded them and tried to find a safe spot in the freezer. I've wondered about drawing in a little air to allow room for expansion in case it solidified but it was never a problem. If it freezes solid I don't know if it's more likely to expel some mix out the needle or push the plunger back. Probably the plunger will move.

Thanks for all the replies. While last night didn’t go as expected. Life got in the way so maybe tonight I’ll be able to have my first injection. We’ll keep everyone posted.

Hello everyone.
I have been using Trimix for more than 6 years and have had a special interest in the subject of how long it lasts both in the fridge and not in the fridge. I even did some of my own one man clinical studies about 5 years ago that I reported in some of the forums, but not this one I don't think.
Anyhow, what I think is this.
1. In the freezer, the stuff will last forever just about. Like years. If you discard frozen Trimix after 45 days you will be throwing out a helluva lot of good Trimix.
2. In the fridge,Trimix will last for months, with maybe only one or two percent reduction in strength per month. So if you have a 5 mL vial and use 15 units per shot, that is 33 shots and at 3 per week that is 11 weeks. It will last 11 weeks in the fridge, no worries.
3. Now here is the contentious one - not in the fridge. As I said above, 5 years ago I did a study where I intentionally left a vial of Trimix out of the fridge at room temperature (for me in summer that was about 24°C) and experimented with dosages over a period of about 8 weeks. My findings were that at room temperature, the Trimix lost about 10% of its strength per week. In the second week it loses 10% of the remaining 90%, and so on. So it takes at least 6 weeks to get to half strength, meaning you would need double the dose for it to work. And after 10 weeks you would need triple the dose. Now that is extreme, nobody (except me doing an experiment) would intentionally leave their Trimix out of the fridge if they had a fridge. But I just wanted to demonstrate that if you accidentally leave your stuff out of the fridge overnight, don't panic - nothing bad will happen to it. And if you are going away for a few days and won't have a fridge, don't worry - just fill a few syringes and pack them in your shaving bag and go and have fun, the Trimix will be good. A few years ago i went overseas travelling around Europe for 6 weeks where hardly any hotel rooms had fridges. So I just continued on with my Trimix in my luggage, increasing my dose by about 10% for every week I was away. At the end of the trip my Trimix dose was about double, but it still worked great at that double dose.
Re: Just received my Trimix
I believe the ingredient that is losing potency is the alprostadil. So how quickly your mix loses potency at room temperature of just refrigerated will likely vary depending on how important the alprostadil is to your mix. If your mix is real light on the alprostadil and is more dependent on the other ingredients then the loss of the alprostadil will be missed less.
