Autoinjection - does it work?

Hi men. I'm suffering from ED and I'm thinking about injections.
First problem: needle...
I'm not scared by needle in genere. Sometimes I even injected painkillers in my ass standing up in front of the mirror by myself but well.. you know penis is different.
In my country injections are less popular than in the US, so I still have to find a well trained urologist. Well trained and supportive. Actually well trained isn't that hard, it's their job. But many tend to be not supportive. Because I'm 42, because doppler ultrasound found nothing, because it's better giving a try to a sexologist (and more PDE5), because it's invasive, etc. ED is painful, and if I want to give a try to injections I need supportive people.
Having said that, my question is: do you have any advice for a first time newbie? Is it possible to find autoinjectors? Do they work?
