Still having inconsistent results what am I doing wrong??

I used an injection Thursday night on the right side and it worked really well. Almost immediately after the shot I started getting hard and it stayed that way for hours. It almost worked too well as at two and a half hours I started doing some exercises to help it go down. Tonight I did the same dosage on the left side and it’s like it hardly worked at all. What is happening? Is it that I’m not getting it in the right spot? There was not really any resistance on the plunger. I did notice the needle itself hurt a little more—almost an ache or pressure going in. I just cannot come up with why there would be such a drastic difference otherwise? I have to find some consistency in these for me to be able to rely on them long term. What does everyone do to make sure their in the right spot?

Injections should take place from the base on up to mid section of your dick at the 3 and 9 o'clock. Did you squeeze your dick and inject?
Did you push needle all the way in until it is flush with skin?
I did it for 8 years. I have had the implant for over a year, so I still remember some stuff on injecting.
I even went out and got one of those injectors, go figure.

If you get unlucky and deliver all the trimix into a small vein, it all gets swept away into your blood stream and no erection results. It happens to all of us occasionally. For me, the tell tale sign that this occurred is substantial bruising around the injection site (which may take hours to present itself). Don't give up, "give it another shot" (pardon the pun).

I definitely buried the needle all the way in, and I was roughly right around 9/10 o’clock. I’m not sure but it must have to be perfect spot to work. I could have hit a vein I guess but I grout have any bruising and didnt have any bleeding. Does everyone pull the syring back some time check for blood? Is that the best way to know your in right spot?

I've had the same problems in the beginning. I try to use the right side now mostly because when I looked closely at the left side, I saw several tangled veins which are hard to avoid.
I bring 2 needles with me along with 2 alcohol swipes so that in case I don't succeed after 10 minutes, I'll try again.
I have the most success sitting down for some reason. I'll pull on my penis...make sure that it is straight and then aim for the 1 to 3pm position...about 1 to 1.5 inches from the base.
I tried everything while injecting...pulling back, going real slow, etc., but for now I believe I have the most success injecting quickly and fully into that sweet spot that appears to be clear of any blue veins.
I practiced to get it down to less then 1 minute because it is still awkward for me in my situation with my spouse.

The side is the only way you can go.. yeah right side has given me more success.. I’m not sure what the deal is because the left side is a little painful as well .. maybe I am hitting a vein.. but I’m not getting bruising.

I do aspirate fairly often. I don't look for blood but you can. I'm looking for plunger response. Generally if in the wrong spot, if you pull the plunger back a tad and let go it will return to it's previous position. If in the correct spot it will stay pulled back that tad, and if you were to look you would see a little blood. However, if you didn't have any plunger resistance pushing the plunger, the aspiration test would have probably also falsely indicated correct placement. I don't know where you went wrong. It is possible to go through to the urethra but you should have noticed a leak out the pee hole if that was the case. How much volume of liquid are you injecting?

Wow, in my 8 years of doing this, never aspirated.
When I pulled needle out, only one time their was blood, but it was because I decided not to fluff myself and accidently injected into my cockhead (I am uncut)

I didn't initially ever aspirate, for years, but after reading posts on this forum from guys that do it (I don't recall who), I decided to experiment with it. I found that it is a very legitimate way of determining proper placement.
