Does anyone pre fill syringes and how long do you think they will be good in the fridge? My wife and I go to our summer place down the shore almost every weekend and I was tinking of filling a couple of syringes and leaving them in the fridge down there raither then transporting the vial back and forth.
Thanks,
Carl

You can definately do that. Just make sure you have the cap on the needle.

I had a syringe in the fridge and somehow the cap came off and my brother-in-law pricked his thumb on the needle while reaching for a soda. I told him it was insulin and gave him an alcohol swap to clean his thumb, but the thumb swelled up really big and stiff for four hours (LOL)
I kept my first vial of Trimix unrefridgerated and it was still effective after 2 month, though it's effectiveness started to decline thereafter. I do not see any problem with keeping a prefilled syringe in the fridge for a few weeks.

Prefilled syringes kept in the fridge should last just as long as what is in the vial.

Just off of a week's vacation and, like Newly, I had a whole bunch of pre-made syringes made up and frozen and ready to go. Worked out really great! Go get a beer .. get a syringe ... Go get some ice cream .. get a syringe ... and so forth.
