Hi guys,

I’ve been dead set against injections since the get-go and have been focusing my hopes on an implant but I just can’t make that quantum leap just yet because just 5 short months ago I’d managed to wean off cialis completely and was having sex with my then girlfriend regularly and without issue.

But one breakup, a huge trauma and ten bucket loads of anxiety later, I’m back to considering the implant.

Pills have always worked amazingly but for that initial period of seeing someone new, I now feel like the pills will be very much hit and miss. As such my new battle plan is to use injections for that ‘sure thing’ effect to relieve/override the stress and anxiety, get comfortable with whomever it might be and then wean back down to pills and so on.

I’m UK based so we don’t do trimix or quad mix.

As I understand it we do Caverject and Invicorp.

I’ve had 4 dopplers before and I believe caverject is what is used to get you hard. Trouble is, I have never got even close to hard from these injections despite being told I had no venous leak and a normal nocturnal penile tumescence test with 5 good erextions in the night.

Are they a lower dose when used for dopplers?

Was my anxiety just THAT bad?! Surely caverject should overcome that?

Can I just go for a higher dose?

I’m so so so new to injections and don’t know shit.

The thing about Doppler tests is, you've got so much adrenalin pumping through your body when it happens, it's no surprise the injections don't have much effect, because what do we use to counter act injections? Pseudo-ephedrine!

If the Caverject is effective for you then if you received a large enough dose you would get an erection regardless of stimulation or even in a non-amorous environment. Otherwise the environment can be a factor. I can't get any erection without an injection or a VED with rings. However, I can use a minimal dose giving a less than ideal erection and then with stimulation grow that into a full erection. In other words I get nothing with stimulation alone but I can enhance a minimal injection erection with stimulation. I suspect everyone is different in this. With the nerve damage I have from my RP that's how I work. Enough PGE1 should overcome anxiety. For a dose that needs stimulation I use 7 units of mono-mix at 80mcg per ml. For a guaranteed dependable boner I use 14 units of that same mix.

I have no idea what dose they gave you for your dopplers. I'd expect them to use the lowest dose necessary to do the test so as to not risk having to administer an antidote.

I also expect you can go to a higher dose. That's a question for your doctor. What dose is appropriate varies greatly between men.

Defiant, I think you should go into the next one with every weapon available in the arsenal. If the relationship is one where there is at least a "sex talk" before leaping into it, she should appreciate the thoughtfulness and candor (and if she doesn't maybe you need to soul search if she's right). So be ready (in no order) with injections, pump&ring, PT-141, PDE5, herbs, sex toys as backup.

No battle plan survives first contact with the enemy, so at least your arsenal will be stocked, stacked, cocked and loaded for all eventualities. This is my MO; talk is cheap, but I may be able to report on first contact before the end of the year. Shock and awe, my friends!

You dialed in on the ideal trimix dose yet bro?

no caverject (pge-1) does not require sexual stimulation to work.
i do find that you do need to keep the meds in the penis and massage it after injection to spread the medicine.
i suppose getting sexually stimulated could help do the same.

if caverject 10mcg didn't work then try caverject 20mcg.
i find it impossible to believe that you get erections at night but that caverject did not work.

Get the implant, you will never regret it. When I first got ED the doctor tried Caverject and to me it was the worst most painful thing. Sticking a quarter inch long needle into the side of my penis was not for me. It gave me a hard on right away, but no thanks. So after trying different other things like Viagra etc etc, I decided to get an implant and have been very happy with it. Have had in the last twenty years two. The original lasted fifteen years and now I have the LGX which is simply great. The Caverject was traumatizing my penis to where it started to slightly curve to the side. The implant corrected the slight curve to where it is perfectly straight. I highly recommend an implant.
