Hmm. Trimix opens up the arteries but doesn't close the veins off so you'll just have to see if your venous leak is bad enough to negate the injection.

My first uro told me with my VL that he suggested to go rt to implant cause he said injections will fail rather quickly and he was rt., but i wasn't ready for it in my mind and tried the injections for a yr and a half and finally came to conclusion i should've skipped the injections ,but you got to figure that out for yourself which way you want to proceed. Everyone is different.

I had your same problem. I tried pills and they helped, but not much. Then I found out about Tri-mix, I was so excited when the shipment arrived. It helped as well, but just gave me a semi erection that lasted for 2 hours. A big let down, kind of depressing, I could get hard if I got on my knees keeping my penis low and did manual manipulation, but as soon as I tried to do something with it, it would deflate as you describe. I was able to pull intercourse off sometimes but short and struggling to keep it in for the few minutes it would last. Hopefully the tri-mix will help you, although If you have a true venous leak, your best option may be an implant.

I was implanted Thursday by Dr Hakky. So far going very well the first few days.

Injection relaxes smooth muscle which lets the corpora expand, which in turn compresses the surrounding veins. Not to say it works for everyone but there is a mechanism by which the injection directly combats “venous leak”.

The following is my humble opinion. I'm not a moderator here and hold no administrative position or sway. Feel free to hate or whatever.

Sunset, I don't know if injections will work for you. Nobody does. Only trying them out will give you that answer. Even then, there is often a learning curve to get them perfected.

Please ignore the recent implant recipients. By definition, the injections didn't work well for them, assuming they gave them a fair trial. For some reason, probably psychological, many recent implant recipients feel compelled to return to the injections sub-forum and protolyze new injection users and try to convince them to get an implant now. I theorize that they do it out of a need to justify to themselves the validity of their own decision to take that expensive and irreversible permanent leap to an implant.

This is the "Injections" sub-forum. Everyone knows where the "Implants" sub-forum is. It dominates this forum. If members want implant information it's very easy to find it there.

The "Injections" sub-forum" is for help and support for those interested in trying injections or needing advice with injections. Making depressing posts telling them they won't work and that they need to rush on to an implant is NOT helpful. If you can't make a positive contribution to the "Injections" sub-forum then please refrain from posting here.

I'm not at all suggesting that implant recipients with substantial prior experience with injections shouldn't make positive contributions in the "Injections" sub-forum. There are some that do. Their input, based on their experience, is invaluable. But lets keep it positive.

Injections clearly don't work for everyone. For some that they do work for, success with them is of limited duration. Injections work well for me now. There may come a time when they don't. When/if that time comes, and if I'm still in good enough health to take advantage of an implant, I'll be very interested in one. When/if that time comes, I know just where to go to get input and suggestions on that topic, and it won't be the "injections" sub-forum.

Diagnosed with mild VL by Doppler ultrasound. Pills didn’t work. Urologist put me on Trimix as needed for sex, plus 5mg Cialis daily. The Trimix works great for me and has for 3 years.

I agree as well. And most of the time you can tell when you read deeper in their posts its not that the injections actually "stopped" working its because they can sometimes be a hassle to do and they want to take a easier way out.
