Question about scarring —How would I know?

Postby SteveKub » Mon Mar 07, 2022 11:57 am

Hi, guys. I’ve recently started injections using what is basically a bimix with no PGE. I understand that papaverine, which my formula contains, can be the major contributor to scarring with repeated injections.

My question is how would I know if scarring is happening? When I’m hard, my penis is straight as an arrow. Would it start to curve if scarring is happening? Would I be able to feel scarring or a buildup on the shaft? Just wondering what to look for to see if this is happening.

Also, any tips or techniques I can use to minimize the chances of scarring? I’ve just started injections and love the results so far. But I want to minimize scarring so I can have continued success.

Thanks for any insight!

I felt a lump at one of my injection sites. However, when Dr. Eid installed my implant, his surgical notes said my shaft was obliterated with scarring (after just 8 months of injecting).
Dr. Eid confirmed that lumps are a sign of scarring.

What are the issues with scarring when it comes to getting an implant? Does that present some added complications to the procedure?

Scar tissue that was scraped away would cause a good amount of bleeding. Before my implant I'd been using Trimix & Quadmix for about 4 years. Not sure if I had any scarring and I don't recall any lumps, but I did have a lot of bleeding after. My drain bag had to be emptied 4 or 5 times the night of surgery.

It definitely causes some complications to the surgery and how it's addressed depends to a great degree on the skill of your surgeon. I am not medical but gather that it must be scraped away, gone around or drilled through (Dr. Eid told me he had to drill a very small hole), or it prevents full insertion of the cylinders -- likely not getting into the glans. all of which could shorten the potential of your post op length, as it did somewhat for me, though I am successfully exercising to regain it thankfully.
That is the limit of my knowledge and it may not be accurate -- would welcome more expert opinions.

Thanks for the info guys. I am still fairly new with injections but these are things that I really should consider if an implant is in my future (which I do believe it is). I probably should switch over to monomix.
