Is this the end of trimix?

First post here.
I’m 54, fit and in great shape. Until 3 years ago I could still have marathon sex for 4 hours on levitra, but I started losing my erection for no reason in the middle of enjoying myself. No amount of psychobabble solved that for me.
I started injections. After 2 years of injections I went from achieving rock hard 3-4 hour erections from a low dose of alprostadil to disappointing erections on large doses of a concentrated quadmix. This deterioration happened relatively fast, over the course of 2-3 months. I can get it hard but within just a few minutes the base, which used to be rigid and unbendable coming out of my body, starts getting floppy and then it’s all downhill unless I do an extra-large second injection on the other side, sometimes a third over the course of 45 minutes or so.
A sleepover with night and morning sex could easily cost me 4-6 injections this way and still be unsatisfying, not to mention sore and pretty much useless for two weeks after.
I stopped dating and took a half year break from sex and injections (and therefore from getting off at all, since pills do nothing for me now so I can’t jerk off without injecting). I hoped things would come back, but the break didn’t help. It’s still the same, where I can keep hard by injecting more and more, which isn’t sustainable.
Has anybody come back from escalating injection doses? If so how? I’m pretty sure there is some injury or scarring and wonder if anybody has had that problem successfully treated.

What strength and dosage were you injecting? When I gave up on it, or rather it gave up on me I was injecting 70 units of 30/6/100 Trimix. Even that started to fail me. Your question can only be answered knowing your strength, and dosage. I don't know of any man who had Trimix fail and then come back to it and have it work.

Quadmix 25 units of 30/3/20/0.2 gets me 95 percent hard over the course of 10 minutes but then immediately it starts getting floppy again at the base and standing up or penetration will push the blood out. Larger doses don’t help more. A second or 3rd injection will give a little more duration. I was on an even higher 30/3/100/0.2 before this but it didn’t work better and the high alprostadil component caused pain that was counterproductive.
Two years ago just 5 units of the starter trimix, much weaker than this, kept me hard for 4 hours. I got that lock-in feeling where the blood was completely trapped. It pointed up and wouldn’t bend at the base. I could hang towels from it if I wanted to. It would last longer than I wanted it to if I went over 5 units and I sometimes had to do compressions and showers to make it go down. Now, no matter what, the blood just seems to start draining away right away.

Adding novelty/sex shop cock rings to the mix might get you a little more time but unfortunately it sounds like your injection run is going to be very limited. It sounds like you're going to be left with a VED and constriction rings or an implant. Sorry.
Good luck.

Ask a urologist about venous leaks. I don't have this but it's talked about a lot on FT.

Thank you, yes, I think it is pretty clear that I have developed venous leak, probably from scarring or fibrosis. From all I have read there is no proven treatment for venous leak besides implant, but I’m seeing a urologist soon and will discuss.

I feel really bad for you and all other guys who lose sensitivity to injections. They are so wonderful for varying amounts of time depending on the individual -- mine was 8 months of escalation up to 150 PGE in Quadmix. Then I starting losing effectiveness in erections from them and developed a loss of length and a downward curve. I had no choice then but to get an implant.
In the surgeon's notes it said I was obliterated with scarring making the implant surgery difficult -- I was under for 2.5 hours.
Now, 3 months out, I have regained most of my lost length, thanks to VED and the Perito exercise.
Just my story -- on the other hand, I have always envied BDloink's experience of 10 years injection effectiveness using straight PGE. Seems the Papervine in Trimix is the culprit. That's what my surgeon told me -- he said that the only guys he's operated on that didn't have some scarring or fibrosis from injections had been using straight PGE.

I think your story is a common one for guys with venous leaks, or other ED causes that get worse over time. My ED is caused by a loss of sensation due to adult circumcision, or possibly hormonal damage from propecia. After 2 years of trimix usage, I've only had to go go from 5 units up to about 7, with a moderate strength mix.
My main concern is scarring, as there are now times when I stick the needle in and can't push the plunger down, which I think means its stuck in some scar tissue.

i have had a hard time pushing the plunger sometimes but i think its the needle not making its way into the right spot. i just pull out, try again, push a little deeper and success. from reading on here, i have even started to aspirating blood into the needle just to know im in the right spot. has been working really good. just my experience.

I inject about an inch back from the glan. I take half a viagra 1 hour before injecting which help get a bigger target. Most of my scar tissue was already present before starting trimix. Trying to have sex without an adequate erection damages the penis
