Signs of scarring / fibrosis

Hey guys,

I was wondering, what are the signs that you are developing scarring/fibrosis? Last week I injected around 25 units of Trimix and noticed a small lump at the injection point. I believe I injected properly since I did get a good erection. The small bump was a little painful but not enough to deter me from sexual activity. After my erection went down the bump went away (i think) and by the following day my dick was seemingly back to normal. I have since injected one more time but with a smaller dose and on the other side of my dick and did not get any bump this time around. Should there be any concern?

Injections always left a small bump on me. As long as it goes away you should be fine.

Ok great. I am breathing a little sigh relief.

Since you are in NYC have you talked to Dr Eid? He is the best of the best and he will tell you that anytime he operates on someone's dick who has been using trimix, the dick is just riddled with scar tissue.

I have consulted with Dr. Eid recently and he did mention the scarring issues with trimix. I have been in the process of switching over to alprostadil. It's just that trimix gives me a stronger and longer lasting erection, and also less of an ache. Anyway I think I will just stick with alprostadil from here on forward.

But I was wondering if there are any tell tale signs that you are developing fibrosis. Something that you can be vigilant about.

Skin checks to feel for bumps or hardened areas along your shaft would be one way of checking. Always try to inject in a different spot, most recommend right side, left side, right, left, etc.

I have been alternating injection sites. Thanks for the info.

Looks like you've been using them for a year now. Did you have to up the dose and do you use a ring?

I have not had the need to increase my dose. My usage was very sporadic at first. I would go weeks without injecting. Now I am doing about 1-2 injections a week. So far so good. I do not use any rings.

I agree with Oldguy -- hardened or lump/bump spots -- I was startled to feel a lump developing after only 8 months of weekly use of Trimix. And Eid's surgery notes as well as what he told me after was that I was obliterated with scarring making my surgery very difficult, took him 2 1/2 hours. Thank god I had the Master doing the surgery or who knows how short I might have gotten...
