Injection side effects

I don't recall reading of any negative side effects using injections other than, of course, priapism. Are there any? (I'm not referring to the consequences of making mistakes.) If not, perhaps it's because this "med" is very localized, as distinct from, say, Sildenafil which is systemic (as are all oral meds).

Speaking of priapism, any remedies other than a handful (6) of Sudafed? Cold shower? Exercise?

I've been blessed, I guess. Never had side effects when I was injecting regularly. No super "stiffies" either. But it pays not to become complacent.

+The most neglected effect of injections is the formation of scar tissue with every injection. Many will say there is no risk of this, but I had no other factors that would have caused scarring yet ther surgeon had a lot of difficulties dealing with the scar tissue when doing my first implant. I lost an inch due to scarring due to injecting for several years 3 or 4 times a week....

Wiggles - What type of injections were you doing that caused the scarring? IE prostaglandin or Trimix?

Ronin,

I was on Trimix. My Dr. (Ryan Terlecki - Wake Forest University) told me all injections cause some level of scarring. Had I known I would have only used injections for a short time, so the insurance company would still find eligibility after trying all options. Every scar is tissue that can no-longer stretch out.....

NO ONE injecting Trimix should be without a bottle of phenylephrine... specially while starting out. If you have an erection lasting 3+ hours just inject 5 units of phenylephrine and a couple minutes later, you'll be completely flaccid.
Injecting is like playing Russian roulette. Some guys inject for years and have no pain, burning, scarring, etc. Others, start having problems right away. Many of the men I've talked to on the phone developed scarring but admitted they inject 3-4 times a week for several years. As a general rule, the more you use it the greater the chance of developing peyronies.

Talk a bit more about phenylephrine, please.

Is this the generic version of Sudafed?

Is it available over the counter?

Google talks about tablet form. But I like your suggestion to inject... gotta be more effective.

If it's only available by prescription, what's an alternative (the whole world doesn't need to know too much.)

Thanks!

Ok....have answered some of my own questions. Yes, Sudafed PE is the brand version. Yes, it appears to be available OTC.

But I don't see a liquid version (for injecting). Any suggestions on how many Sudafed PE tablets to take?

(Turns out, I have a box of phenylephrine hcl pills in my "hiddy drawer." Gotta be years old...time to toss.)

Happy Toy went 12 years with no side effects. I went 8 months -- about 30 some injections alternating sides and all other recommendations for safety, and noticed a hard spot forming. Eid's surgery notes said I was obliterated with scar tissue. So from my personal view, I would not want to predict one's tolerance to injections.
