New to Trimix - disappointing so far?

Hi, very glad to find this forum.
ED progressive for ~ 15 years, currently 56 years old. History of hypertension and concern for veinous incompetence. Got some serious varicose veins (legs).
Did well with oral meds from late thirties until the start of this year but progressively disappointing. Went to the urologist and started with Trimix a couple month ago with what I now understand was a pretty low concentration at ~ 8 mcg prostaglandin. Nothing happened for me on 5 units, increased up to 20, still not much, uro changed me to formulation with 20 mcg prostaglandin.
Managed to get something going with 20 units on this increased concentration but nothing like what I read on this forum with rock hard erections lasting ~ 2 hours. Maybe 80% erection which said adios after ejaculation and wasn't good enough for my wife's preferred positions.
I'm planning to try 30 units but I'm gettting discouraged. My experience seems far less optimal than other folks and I'm already at many multiples my original dosing. Uro says 99% respond to this but I'm not feeling it. Maybe it works far better for men with nerve issues stemming from RP as opposed to vascular problems?
Anyway, is there long term hope remaining? Starting to serious entertain the implant idea.
Thanks!
