Immunity to Trimix

I have been prescribed Trimix by my uro with the following compound:
20MCG/ML Alprostadil,1MG/ML Phentolamine, 30MG/ML Papaverine
I was to start with 0.1 ml, and increase the dosage if needed by 0.05ml increments seperated by at least 24 hours, until the dosage was sufficient for achieving a good erection.

With 0.1 I got a great hard on that lasted 80 minutes, but it was painful. Two days later I reduced to 0.8 and got as good a one with way less pain. A couple days later went to 0.6 and got 95% for about 30 minutes and no pain. A couple days later went to 0.7 and got only 50% for about 15 minutes.

Am I building a tolerance? Has anyone else noticed this? If so, please provide the following:
- compound
- initial dosage to provide 100% erection
- dosage used now to achieve 100%
- duration since starting injections

Thank you

Hey Julios,

I think you mean you went from 0.10 down to 0.08, down to 0.06, etc?

That happened to me. I just got more sensitive. Eventually, I stopped a similar trimix formula and now just oral ED meds work. It was probably 25 or more injections over a 5 month period. All pretty much less than the one before. My ED Uro said that was a very good sign. And, for me it was.

Yes, sorry, I meant 0.08, then 0.06, all with reasonable erections, but then back up to 0.07 and really very little. So now I need MORE. Has anyone else experienced needing more as time goes?

Hey no problem BrokenArrow. I see you are in a similar situation as me. Im 53, I have EPE (extra prost ext) also, and positive margins as well. I have to start radiation and ADT next month. First PSA after RP was detectable at 0.54. How is your PSA? Did you do radiation or ADT? If so, how did it effect injections?

Hi Julios,

I'm about to get my 18 month post-op PSA drawn a week Tuesday. My one year PSA was still clear...or at least less than 0.1. My surgeon doesn't normally do the more sensitive and I haven't asked for them. I saw a couple oncologists after my 1st post-op PSA. They both said to wait for an increase. The rad doc specializes in breast and prostate. She's lost both her breasts to breast cancer (surgery and radiation).

I did have an EPE. RP surgeon said it was within surgical margins.

Good luck with the SRT and ADT.

I don't have an answer for you on the injections. I just got more and more sensitive to mine and had to stop (3+ hour wood and painful, even at very low doses). Now levitra works at 10 mG.

I'm sure other members can chime in and offer more.

Good luck.

BA
