For those that use injections.
At what point did you give up on the pills and begin injections?

In my situation... It was my wife who stopped wanting sex because of my ED/PE.
Before I could still get an erection 80-90% of the time with (generic) viagra.
But because they were unreliable and weak she felt she always had to work around my ED.
Since I started using Trimix, I have had the best erections of my life.
Now am (fully) erect from the start of foreplay till past when the sex act is done.
Now sex stops when she had enough, not because I came or I lost my erection.
Before injections, I used to daydream about having an erection for more than 5-10 minutes. Now I pray that it doesn't last more than a couple of hours.
Another reason many cialis/via gra users started using injection, is because of the side effects of pills. Headaches, flushing, etc.

when a full dose of viarga or cialis did not produce an erection hard enough for penetration. after a few times of that happening, it was time for me.

After twenty years of taking ED pills, they stopped working. I went to Trimix 8 months ago and now my performance is even better than when the pills were effective. When it is time to get busy I just excuse myself and use my auto-injector which looks like a pen and then I know that I will very hard for a good long session.

After having to increase the dose from 50 to 100 mg to get an erection, the next day I'd have a migraine. Dealt with that for a year then Viagra (name brand, not generic) started to maybe work, maybe not work. And I'd still get the migraine.
Not long after I started Trimix.

I used pills for about 15 years. Tried all kinds with various success. But they all had side effects that ruined dates for me - headaches, stuffy nose, diarrhea... The headache from cialis would last the entire next day. Plus you can't drink alcohol with them and they lose effectiveness with food, but on a date what do you usually do? DRINK ALCOHOL AND EAT FOOD.
The pills didn't ever totally stop working I just got sick of the side effects which seemed to be getting worse, so I switched to injections, which work great. The drug goes only where it's needed and doesn't fuck with the rest of your body. However, theyre really not convenient and would be hard to keep hidden if you were casually dating. There isn't much sexual spontaneity when you need to go to the bathroom for 10 minutes to inject anytime you want to have sex, so they work best with an understanding partner who is willing to schedule sex. Plus for me, they last too long. I hate having my boner linger for 3 hours after sex is finished. For those reasons I'm considering an implant. The lack of spontaneous sex has done damage to several relationships I've been in and I'm sick of it.

Slipnslider, have you tried alprostadil only (sometimes called monomix, just one of the ingredients in trimix)?
In my experience alprostadil doesn't last as long as trimix and with alprostadil it goes down much easier. Usually after ejaculation it would start going down.
Of course you have to find the right dose, starting low. If you look at the literature, alprostadil is statistically less likely to cause priapism or fibrosis.
I understand the bathroom injection issue... To speed things up I would usually carry a preloaded syringe on me, and often an extra in case the first injection attempt failed. This is easier in cold weather when you can hide it in a jacket, not so easy in summer clothing but still doable with cargo type pockets. If you do this carry a copy of your prescription in case you get stopped by police or something

Pills worked about 10 years for me. Started with Viagra. Tried Levitra which did not work at all. Tried Cialis with poor results but with heavy side effects. Then I moved to Caverject but that did not work every time. Then I moved to Caverject+sildenafil combo and usually it works well enough. I've never had "rock hard erection" with medicine or without medicine. Venous leak is my problem.

Yes I do preloaded syringes which saves a minutes, but you still gotta find somewhere to do it, wipe off the injection site, inject, apply pressure for 5 minutes while massaging the medication through your penis, then clean up and dispose of evidence.
I've only tried pure alprostadil at the doctors' office, and it was painful. Trimix hurts way less, but I'm willing to give just alprostadil another shot since I read that the pain decreases over time. It would be good to have a 1.5 hour boner instead of a 3 hour boner.
