New to this
I’m new to injections. I started with a 5/16 inch needle 31 gauge and Trimix 5 and it wasn’t working! So my doctor prescribed trimix 9, it still wasn’t working! He got me new needles 1/2 inch 30 gauge! So I’m thinking maybe the 5/16 inch needles weren’t going in far enough? But now being 1/2 inch do I change how much of a dose I might need? I don’t want to put to much in and have to go to the ER, for an erection problem!

Hey Jaxson,
The needle size has nothing to do with the dosage, that doesn't change. The needle size is only the delivery method, you will have to experiment with what is best for you.
The length of needle determines the depth of the injection material, the gauge is the diameter of the needle. The needle should be inserted all the way each time, so you have a consistent depth of the injection material. The length of the needle often determines the diameter of the needle, if the diameter is too small for the length the needle can bend or break.
Injections work really well and can be a great remedy for ED, until they stop working.
Best of luck.

Yes, the needle does not change anything. A longer or smaller diameter needle may make it easier to inject, but it's how much Trimix used that matters. Keep a package of Sudafed handy, take 5-6 all at once if you get an erection that won't go down. I'm guessing the 5 and 9 number is the units doc has you using. You need to slowly increase that number until you get a satisfactory erection. That will be your number as long as it keeps working. If you have to use 30 units or more it's time to ask doc for a stronger formula.

Injections really dont stop working. There's many people that use then for twenty to thirty years or more. Peoples ED symptoms may worsen and they never try to fix the route of the cause.

I'll just add to bldolnk's good comments and say that you're in the cavernosum if there's no pain when you depress the plunger.
Research the "Injections" topic for technique; there is a lot of good needle placement advice going back years.
