Being shown how to inject

I am going to try injections. I've called my urologist but the nurse is not available to show me how to inject until the end of February. Is it essential to be shown how to inject or is there any other way to learn, 2 months seems like a long time to wait to be shown how to do a relatively simple task.

Yeah it's pretty simple. I did a demonstration on how to do it on a dildo on this video: https://youtu.be/MEOm6zrmYJc?t=600
I like 31 gauge 5/16 needle length syringes.

This video is also excellent: https://youtu.be/z41WjSbBAxE?t=1435

It’s pretty easy but you need to make sure you inject only in the corpus. Otherwise you can get a painful knot which is no fun.

Google a cross section diagram of a penis and study where everything is ahead of time. Obviously you want to avoid piercing veins and your urethra. Your goal is the center of the corpus, no deeper. I used an auto injector that you could adjust the depth and you just push a button not the plunger of the syringe.

One other tip that helped me is to make sure your penis has a little chubby going. If it’s TOTALLY soft it’s easier to miss the sweet spot. I used a vacuum device most of the time up until seconds before injecting. That gave me a bigger target and lessened my chances of getting a knot.

Good luck

It would certainly be advisable to be shown in a doctors office how to inject. And for several reasons. One reason is obviously to show you the proper method. Other reasons are to address a priapism if the 1st dose is way too strong. And another obvious reason is to adjust your dose if too weak or too strong. I wasn't given an in office demonstration and had to figure it out on my own. I was told to read the Edex instruction insert. Oh well! And I didn't discover Frank Talk until long after.

Anyhow, I sent you a PM that may be useful, or not.

I’ve been getting good results from trimix. I’m not a “needle person “ and frankly don’t look forward to injections, but the pay off makes it worthwhile.

My urologist didn’t provide any training other than a couple page handout. It’s pretty easy. D m me if you want to walk through the process.

Notice to overweight men who can not see their stretched penis when looking down:
My doctor did the first Trimix injection in office with minimal results. After sending me home with little instruction, I discovered I could not inject myself because I could not see my penis due to flab. And, looking at my penis in the mirror I was afraid of attempting an injection because of the reversed image I saw. It looked so easy in the online videos but the men injecting were not fat! Wifey politely declined to inject me. Also, the needles I received from the compound pharmacist looked huge, wider than my penis. I didn't try injecting again and wasted money on the experiment. Maybe your experience was different and how did you manage injections?

Yes, vids do help. I wish I googled it before going to the Dr.
But if the written word helps, he it is:
If you have been at the office all day, get undress and just 'relax' yourself after taking off your pants/underwear.
When you grab hold of your dick, squeeze it length-wise, top to bottom. Your thumb on the top of your dick (not dick head, but your actual dick).
Think of squeezing a ball...it bulges. That is what you are doing.
You are going inject yourself from the side, in the middle of the squeezed area, IN THE LOWER 3RD OF YOUR DICK LENGTH, from your pubes.
1st couple of times...its like 'yeah, that's not going to happen', but then you learn it and it becomes 2nd hand nature (no pun).

DISCLAIMER: i AM NOT A DR. OR A LICENSED NURSE OR ANYONE RELATED TO THE MEDICAL FIELD! But I have injected myself of over 5 years, lol!

Have you tried sitting down while injecting? I prefer standing, but sometimes have a better view of my penis when I slouch down while sitting (slide down on the chair).
