Well think about it....
Ask yourself, would I want to get an infection in my dick?
So why not use an alcohol swab...just to be on the safe side.
Just saying,

Yes, both the injection site and the top of the vial. In fact, my uro directed using one wipe for the vial and a second wipe for the injection site. And, backing up a bit, thoroughly washing my hands before starting to stage things for the injection.
60 yo. RALP in June 2019. Tried bimix with limited success. Currently getting good results from trimix.

When i first started, around 2007, for the first few years i didn't, because i didn't know that "prepackaged, single use" swabs existed. I couldn't bother to carry around a bottle of alcohol and cotton pads etc to do it.
Then, later on my wife thought about it and said "why don't we try to buy some of those medical pre-made swabs that diabetics use?" or something like that, we looked up on Amazon and found out there are packs of 100, relatively cheap. And since then i've been using these, cause it's easy enough, cheap and you can carry quite a few with you without them being a burden.

40 years old, married. ED all my life because of spinal cord injury caused by a tumor in early infant age. Using standard EDEX20 since 2007. Increasingly bad results with EDEX in the last few years, but had very good results for at least 10 years.

Considering you've been injection for about 16 years now it seems you got lucky to get no infection not swiping with alcohol. Is it 100 percent neccessary maybe not but like you said with those little cheap swipes there's no reason not to.

I always use a single-use swab to wipe the injection site before injecting. I also wash my hands and penis first, better safe than sorry.
